The hotel was in a perfect location for Is coming from Milan and only a few minutes drive to Sirmione. We enjoyed our stay here and had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. The staff was very helpful in offering child options and we all enjoyed a very nice meal. The spa and pool were also nice and great for our baby. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel - great location

Disgusting, people was their shoes and sandals in the swimming pool and seems is not issue to the hotel, but they go ballistic if you don't wear a swimming cap in the pool. Why? Hairs? Then why not wear a full wet suit for hairy people? Or full mask for beards? Oh but is fine to wash your sandals and shoes in the pool. The SPA plays electronic music that drills your brain, so forget about relaxing and if you ask to turn it off it will just be switched to another type of synthetic electronic music. Oh, and the sculptures, there is a large room for meetings or so with a large statue of a naked male completely spread-out exhibiting towards the room on the window. It is not a good feeling. Air Conditioning in the room is extremely noisy, couldn't sleep. Reported it and was ignored. We left early and paid a penalty for leaving early. But to be fair, there are some extraordinary employees that will try to do their best. The Head of Housekeeping is a wonderful lady that goes beyond her duty. The barman, Manuel will bend backward to attend you but has to take care of three different areas at the same time. And a young Lifeguard, Francisco, such a nice fellow but unfortunatelly has many jobs at the same time - lifeguard, barman, issue the bill to customers, support spa reception and who knows what else so he seems nervous, but good training could turn him into wonderful performer.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing the Acquaviva del Garda Hotel as your destination for your stay.For hygiene reasons, the use of a hair cap only is compulsory, while it has never happened that one of our guests enters the pool with their own slippers. Italy is famous for its works of art, the one you described in your review is a statue from the 1800s and is facing the meeting room, completely hidden in perspective from your room and has never disturbed any guest's view.Our music in the spa has always been appreciated by all our guests, the genre of music is "relaxing", as is generally found in all spas.Faced with your strong complaint about the type of music, it was proposed to turn it off; having then decided to cancel the treatments and cancel your stay we applied the penalty as per the contract you accepted at check-in, considering the reason for your cancellation inappropriate.Thank you for your appreciation of some of our staff who put all their energy into satisfying the guest.Kind regards Hotel manager

We stayed here for 6 nights, the hotel is lovely, very clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, fantastic customer service from all staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We liked the excellent free wellbeing facilities. The staff were very friendly and courteous. the grounds and pool were very good. The reception desk were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was very good with many choices. It is a bit far from Desenzano about 40mins walk, but the walk is by the lake, so nice.

This was our sixth annual holiday at the hotel. It's modern, has great facilities, but most of all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make out holiday special.

Very enjoyable
We very much enjoyed our stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had planned to explore the area, but enjoyed the hotels facilities and proximity to the lake so much….we spent all our days on site or the nearby lake.

Room was very nice, clean, big beds. Covered garage if you want it, otherwise free allocated car park for the hotel outside. Missed coffee machine or kettle just something so you could make yourself a drink. As being a thermal hotel, a bitsurprised the outdoor pool was quite cold. But it’s end of September so maybe that’s how it is. Nice walks along the lake. A very convenient hotel for sightseeing.

Kind and helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent; I'd go back just to eat! Fantastic underground private passage to the Lake Garda .... I felt like royalty.

A great hotel to stay in
A wonderful stay at this hotel, breakfast was fab, fresh breads every day, cereals, continental hams and cheeses, fruit and juices, tea and coffee. The breakfast staff were lovely. In the Room, beds and towels changed every day including the beach towels. Lovely robes available for the spa. We really enjoyed the beds facing the lake by the jacuzzi and spent most days there. Lovely to be able to walk down to the lake for a swim too. You have to wear a swimhat (Supplied) if you swim in the outdoor/indoor pools, good amount of beds. We ordered lunch most days too, lunch staff are also lovely. Parking out the front I had no problem although I had read that non residents were using the car park I did not see this at all. Our room was a triple and spacious with a lovely partial view of the lake and shaded, just what we ordered.

Overall the hotel was lovely, really nice room and good facilities However on our last day there was a private party so the spa was shut from 2pm and then a loud party until 11.30pm which made it really difficult to get our baby daughter to sleep. The next morning hotel staff were not very apologetic which I was disappointed about, as the rest of the week they had been fantastic.

Almost perfect four star hotel.
Nice, comfortable hotel with big "panorama" room that fully delivered on the promised views of the lake. Pity that outdoor parking space is also used by non-guests of the hotel. Access to the indoor parking was granted only after checking in. Beware that spa with sauna and indoor pool closes pretty early (and opens rather late) so if you arrive late and want to have a little swim after a long road-trip, you are out of luck. Perfect room service and excellent breakfast. A four star hotel should have some coffee/tea maker in the room though.

NO AIR CONDITIONING IN BEDROOM had to leave patio doors open all night - hard to sleep with the noise. The room was basic considering it was a 4* hotel. Spa only opened between 10am to 7pm during the week. Hotel had no atmosphere. The breakfast selection never changed. Gate to private beach was locked. No access to underground car park even when main car park was full. Our garden view room was of a very scruffy neglected court yard. Wish we had booked another hotel.

nice hotel, breakfast food was not good: eggs made from powder, cucumbers were cut at least 3 days before and were not fresh, baked goods were not fresh as well, location of hotel bit too gar from center, but pool, sauna and turkush bath wete nice , massages were wonderfull.

Superb hotel in an amazing location. Very easy to find with fantastic views; we had a partial lake view with a huge balcony. Breakfast buffet was perfect with loads of choice and all very fresh. Fantastic helpful staff and the real treat was the spa which is included in the price! We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer! We ate in the restaurant also which was very high end with fantastic wine! There is also a rooftop lounge see photo and outdoor roof terrace for sunbathing in summer or taking the air in winter with paneramic views! All in all amazing!

Good hotel, nice pool area, large bed but room was a bit souless. I was there on business and room was not the most comfortable to work from as the seat was too low for the the desk but the free Wifi was good . The location is OK for local shops but a bit too far to walk into Desenzano. Overall nice hotel and I would stay again

Good Location with private beach...
Lovely Lobby and a great Reception Staff... I am not found of big hotels ...this was fairly large. The reception was great. Our room had a pleasant courtyard view, fairly private. The housekeeper was excellent. The indoor spa and pool facilities were nicely kept and quiet pleasant. The outside pool and bar is within the lovely manicured gardens. You can also relax directly by the lakefront. The only think that was a bit cold was the restaurant where above average buffet breakfast was served. It was too large and cold (temperature) for my taste. The waiters were very busy but did a fantastic job! Overall a GREAT value for the area!

This is an awesome place to stay. The staff, facilities are amazing. It is a Beauty Farm, I was not sure what that meant. I learned that there is a spa that you are able to use. We did and it was very nice and relaxing, a must if you are going to lake Garda Enjoy

Spotless hotel with great views
The hotel was incredibly clean and spacious. The facilities were everything the website described. Breakfast was good (although eggs a bit salty!), the barman was great. It was so quiet probably due to the time of year we stayed so we felt like we had the place to ourselves really! It was a bit weird wearing shower caps in the pool but we saw the funny side and obliged. It was freezing in temperature but once you got in it was ok. We had a great trip and hotel staff were very polite and helpful.

Beautiful hotel with great pool
The indoor pool was wonderful! Nicely heated and with small water jets to massage your back. The hotel provides wonderful bath robes and requires that you wear swimming caps (also provided) regardless of the length of your hair. The hotel is beautifully decorated with impressive pictures and statues. Service was not good. The room was decent size, but noisy. We were woken early by noise of the water running from another room's shower. The room had a great view of lake Garda. There is not much to do in the area without driving there by car.

Lake View Hotel
Good place to stay when visiting the Southern end of Lake Garda. Buses and Trains are within easy travel distance and times. Very well appointed rooms, except if you are put in a disability room. These are supposed to be the same standard, and with the exception of the bathroom are, however the bathroom whilst having most ot the requirements leaves much to be desired in the shower standard compared to the non disabled rooms. The support bars also get in the way and water from the shower get all over the floor, making things very slippery! I didn't book a room of this type and was disappointed with it.

The room was extremely hot. We had to turn off the heater completely and open the window because the heat was unbearable. I talked to the personal at the reception because all the machines in the gym were lacking grease (in fact I think there were never greased, ever). After 2 days they didn't correct the issue. \ We tried the restaurant food. It was very good, but they brought us a 2 by 2 inch cod, with no garnish for 16 euros. Unfortunately we asked for the same dish so we don't know if all dishes are as ridiculously small as this one. My wife had to take a cold shower on the last day because at 9:30am there was no more hot water. We were expecting so much more for the price!

We were very happy to settle into this lovely hotel after our travelling through Italy, it was just what we needed as it gives you a feeling of relax and wellness with its spa and facilities. Its got a beautiful lakeside area with sunbeds to relax and watch the lake peacefully, just bliss!

Great hotel on the edge of a busy vibrant town!
This was a great choice for us. We are an active couple who love sport, fitness and now water sports! Weather was superb, town was superb, food in the town was low cost but quality, and the breakfast in the hotel was varied, tasty and always spot on! Highly highly recommended!

Very good hotel with good service. Staff were all excellant and helpful. The warm greeting on arrival was welcomed. Rooms and facilities are very good and woth its 4 stars. The hotel would benefit from the provision of a greater range of "snack foods" at lunch and during the day as opposed to a more formal dining arrangement for lunch - which was very good but more suitable for the evening. The location is quiet and close to a few nice restaurants. There is a reasonable good bus connection into Desenzano and taxis for the return. (10 mins) There are plenty of ferries to other parts of the lake from Desenzano.

Contradictory attitude to our stay in this place. Very strange place. If you plan to stay in this hotel you should be ready for surprises: 1. Swimming Hats for Pool.... You must wear hat for using pools! 2. AC inside room is controlled only from Reception! 3. In room no glass for drinks. 4. No complimentary water 5. Bathroom cosmetics very poor - only shower gel 6. For kids we should pay additional 80 EUROS and it is bed and breakfast. By my opinion is too much! 7. Internet is very very very strange. Each day you must take access ticket on reception. And so on

Leaving chaotic Venice to Acquaviva was a blessing. This is truly a beautiful peaceful place. Everything on this site was so peaceful. The private sunbathing area by the lake and the pool were the highlight of my trip. I did not use the spa so i can not comment on that. The staff was very nice. I arrived early and they held my bags. I was given a locker in the spa to store my things while i waited for my room to be ready. Breakfast was fantastic! Great selection. My room was great. Very roomy and comfortable.Bathroom was spacious. Balcony was very peaceful. The only negative was that my air did not seem to be working properly. I did not complain about it because i was ok with it. Over all i would highly recommend this hotel for some well deserved peace and quiet.

Great location and terrific hotel
Our first trip to Lake Garda and happy with our choice to stay in Desanzano. The hotel itself was great, albeit more like a conference centre than the usual boutique style hotel we prefer. That said, we couldn't fault it. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, securing restaurant bookings, providing tour information and allowing a slightly later checkout although we opted for their other suggestion to store our bags, take their hotel cycles for a last day tour and then use their spa facilities to shower and change before we set out on our next adventures. Would definitely recommend and easy to visit nearby Sirmione and Bardolina - the latter well worth a visit.
