Beautiful locationPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Staff faultless Breakfast Swimming pool
Cons: Room was a little dreary, drab, trad. And hotel decor generally. Low quality tv in room. Wifi almost non existent in evening.
Location: Beautiful. Not a lot to do bar pricey boat trips. Traffic can be bad, and driving North was horrible - Mean tunnels. Developed pizzaphobia.
Hotel /rooms could do with a refurb. V.trad. ! Regret not asking for a possible more cheerful room.

NoisePosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Beautiful hotel in perfect setting with considerate staff.
Cons: Would like a waiter to walk round the pool occasionally to offer drinks. Also, would have liked an offer of an omelette or fried egg at breakfast.
Location: I have a bad leg so level position of hotel suited me; could walk out of pool area down three steps to a bistro and a selection of restaurants.
We had two balconies which sounded good but one face the road and one faced the car park. We had the shutters down, the double glazed doors closed and the heavy curtains drawn. The traffic noise didn't bother me but kept my wife awake. We could have asked to change rooms but could't be bothered. Overall a good hotel, it was our second visit so must have been pretty good

Lovely hotel, with a friendly welcome.Posted Jun 30, 2014
Location: Visit Salo and market on a Saturday morning, plenty of bargains and holiday presents. Take a boat trip on the Lake and make sure you visit Sirmione.
We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Savoy Palace Gardone Riviera, Lake Garda. Wonderful location, friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely views from 5th floor roomPosted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: It's position by the Lake
Cons: The manager's manners
Location: Great location, visits made easy by water to many lovely towns. The best restaurant is Sans Souci, a short walk from the hotel and down an alleyway.
Did not find the manager helpful but his staff were superb

First time in lake GardaPosted May 30, 2014
Pros: Very nice with helpful staff, good choices for breakfast and other meals, although I never used it the pool looked very well kept
Cons: Remove the trees for a better view for guests but that will never happen! and the lift should be updated
Location: Not much to do in Gardone except relax, but the lake has an excellent boat service which will get you to where you want to go
Trip from Verona in private transfer to Gardone 1hour 10 min. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom was a good size and very clean, if you can try the third floor the rooms have very large balconies, but the down side are some large trees which restricts the lake view but that's a minor problem compared to the overall aspect of the hotel. you have Savoy Palace at one end of the gardone frontage and the Grand hotel at the other end and just a few very nice restaurants in between, not many shops, but still a very nice place

Nice hotel with pool on edge of townPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: Grand looking hotel, very clean and staff very helpful.
Cons: Service around the pool area. Tea making facilities in the rooms.
Location: Very quiet area maybe as it was May but plenty of ferries available to visit the larger lively towns during the day only.
Very peaceful hotel in quiet location. We only had a three night break so could enjoy the rest but maybe a little too remote for couples staying longer. Our teenage children would have been bored if we had taken them.

Lovely hotel,Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: The position on the lake, beautiful views.
Location: More suitable for older couples, not much around for children, but that is fine for couples.
Had a lovely stay at the hotel, staff couldn't be more helpful. facilities excellent. It would have been useful to have known about the length of transfer from Verona Airport when we booked which was an hour and cost 220Euros and therefore increased the overall price. Shame about the small sparrows that plagued the outside dining area, however not sure how this could be rectified.

Poor atmospherePosted May 23, 2014
Pros: Nice and clean hotel
Cons: Anything to give it some atmosphere - this is JUST a functional Hotel
Location: Vittoraile estate is worth a visit
Hotel is very clean and staff are very nice and helpful, however Maitre'D was miserable. The Hotel looks tired from outside and at least 50% was closed off. Hotel photographs are deceiving, especially the evening poolside restaurant setting. Gardone itself is a poor base as there are only 2 streets to wander around. However we loved Lake Garda and would return, but not to this Hotel and location

Lovely hotelPosted May 11, 2014
Had a great stay at savoy palace, stayed for a week for our honeymoon. Outdoor pool too cold to use, but other than that great! Breakfast in morning was also lovely although cooked breakfast was quite limited. Rooms lovely, very clean. Restraunts close to hotel within 5 min walking. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating.

Nice hotel, great locationPosted Apr 28, 2014
Lovely hotel, very clean and facilities. Excellent view of the lake with easy access to Gardone centre and lake front walking. Staff slightly disappointing, receptionist quite grumpy when we arrived and not very helpful which spoilt what was otherwise a very enjoyable three days.
