Perfect location - in front of the lake!

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Breakfast by the pool, plentiful supply of fruit, cereals and bread. Rooms were very spacious, robes, slippers, shower and bath. Room cleaned daily. Staff were incredibly helpful with local information - queries and even supplying an umbrella!! The sauna, gym and jacuzzi were small - but no queues and clean/modern!!

Hotel Savoy Palace, Gardone.

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Think they should have tea and coffee facilities in all rooms.
Location: By the beautiful lake Garda. We caught lake ferries to vIsit towns round lake once, but also had a hire car which with 4 of us made travel cheaper. I
Lovely hotel in good position on promenade by lake Garda. Clean and very friendly staff. The only thing I would say is if you are not in a room lakeside the road is very noisy! Breakast was as much as you could eat, and very good. We had to ask for a kettle for our room so we could make tea as apparently it was only provided in the more expensive rooms and then we had to buy our own tea, just a slight gripe. Swimming pool was clean, beds comfortable would recommend .

Brilliant location

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The staff, cleanliness and location.
Cons: We had a standard room, and it would've been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Location: Location is great for all amenities. Restaurants, cafés, shops, the boat trips and the coach stops nearby for excursions.
The a Savoy Palace has a vintage charm. Although this sounds old fashioned, the truth is that it has been perfectly maintained and is kept spotlessly clean. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was varied and fresh and service impeccable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was very close to restaurants and cafés and has a lovely view of the lake.

Nice hotel in 'elegant' Gardone

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were always courteous and helpful and also arranged for a taxi service to and from the airport at a lesser cost than that offered online.
Cons: Difficult to see how they could improve as we did not encounter any problems during our stay.
Location: We found Gardone a very pleasant place to stay and the best of the many places we visited on various of our ferry trips.
We really could not fault the Hotel Savoy Palace in any way. The accommodation, food and staff were very good and would certainly return in future years.

A great family week at Hotel Savoy Palace!

Posted Jul 28, 2014
We have just returned from a lovely week, the hotel worked perfectly for our family holiday. The rooms, although not luxurious, were very clean and comfortable and as we like a firm mattress, we slept well. The pool area is beautiful. Very secluded and quiet and well kept, especially the pool which was spotlessly clean. The location is great with lots of little cafes and restaurants just outside the gate as well as the lake itself. Breakfast was the only meal we ate at the hotel. The choices were a little limited but the tea, cappuccinos and hot chocolate were great as were the pastries.

Italian charm

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Style. Nice pool area
Cons: Bed not very comfortable esp pillows. Slightly concerned about dripping aircon which had been previously fixed with a towel above the grille!
Well kept together. Nice to stay somewhere with a bit of character. Excellent location.

Beautiful location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Staff faultless Breakfast Swimming pool
Cons: Room was a little dreary, drab, trad. And hotel decor generally. Low quality tv in room. Wifi almost non existent in evening.
Location: Beautiful. Not a lot to do bar pricey boat trips. Traffic can be bad, and driving North was horrible - Mean tunnels. Developed pizzaphobia.
Hotel /rooms could do with a refurb. V.trad. ! Regret not asking for a possible more cheerful room.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in perfect setting with considerate staff.
Cons: Would like a waiter to walk round the pool occasionally to offer drinks. Also, would have liked an offer of an omelette or fried egg at breakfast.
Location: I have a bad leg so level position of hotel suited me; could walk out of pool area down three steps to a bistro and a selection of restaurants.
We had two balconies which sounded good but one face the road and one faced the car park. We had the shutters down, the double glazed doors closed and the heavy curtains drawn. The traffic noise didn't bother me but kept my wife awake. We could have asked to change rooms but could't be bothered. Overall a good hotel, it was our second visit so must have been pretty good
