Beautiful area but don't go in AugustPosted Aug 25, 2007
Overall a very nice hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful with most speaking a good level of English. You really need a car if basing yourself at this hotel. Restaurants are a little drive away with Desenzano being about 10 mins drive. The hotel is a good base and on the whole quiet during the day and night. They did put some evening entertainment on which was difficult to escape if staying in the hotel. The food in the restaurant was lovely, a bit pricey but worth it.

Good Hotel for a FamilyPosted Jul 25, 2007
We stayed as a family of 4 and the hotel suited our needs very well. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The rooms were a good size and very close to the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Would definitely go backPosted Jul 6, 2007
Just returned from a relaxing stay at La Locanda Santa Giulia. We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay, all of the staff were very friendly and all that we met spoke english or understood my attempts at italian for us to get by. The hotel is lovely and clean, whether you are in your room, by the pools or in the bar/restaurant. Our room was in the main hotel, a good size, with a/c, balcony and a decent bathroom with shower. There are also self catering appartments available and these are in blocks in the gardens or pools. We ate in the hotel one night and had a lovely meal of fresh pasta and scallops (do book before, we would have eaten there again but the restaurant was fully booked), we also enjoyed several bottles of wine in the bar during our stay, all at very reasonable prices. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice to suit everyone with wonderful fresh coffee, and can be enjoyed either inside or on the terrace overlooking the pool. All in all a very enjoyable stay in a hotel which I would return to.

Place o.k. - but watch out for extra chargesPosted Jun 29, 2007
Just a quick review, went for 3 day stay, stayed in appartment, which was not cleaned at any time whilst we were there. Then manager wanted to charge us 85 euros for cleaning. Must be aware - no lake view. dont eat in - plenty of places nearer with awesome lake views. good as a base if you want to go explore, staff were poor and argumentative when leaving and unco-oerative for a 2 hour later check out - Overall, ok, nothing special. but if you pay the extra charges(we didnt) it is well worth looking elsewhere.
