Great hotel for holidaymakers and business users.Posted Jul 21, 2013
Ideally situated between Desenzno and Sirmione.Modern very well designed and constructed. Excellent facilities. No evening meal but plenty of eateries close by or a short taxi ride away. Really helpful and efficient staff. Shuttle bus service is good but would benefit from a more frequent timetable.

Great place to enjoy trips around Lake GardaPosted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very nice. Two gorgeous pools. One on 3rd floor-top floor and another in the gardened area. Free internet worked great. Good breakfast included. Hotel is not on the lake, but is across the street from it. From top 3rd floor and some of the second have views of lake from balcony. Several restaurants with-in walking distance. Hotel itself has breakfast and bar and food service all day but no restaurant dinning.

Good for Sirmione!Posted Jul 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is well kept, spacious and rooms very clean, modern and neat. Two nice pools, and very helpful service, even when one of us left items behind they helped with a solution. Too far to walk into Sirmione, but taxi is 10 euros or so, or, they will lend you bicycles at the hotel, which is ideal. Highly recommended for a short stay to enjoy Sirmione and the lake.

Lovely hotel but far from Desenzano and SirmionePosted Apr 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel, excellent staff, spa and breakfast. Great view of lake garda. However, too far from the nearest towns of Sirmione and Desenzano. Had to get taxis, which are expensive each way to either of the towns

need a car a good knowledge of Lake GardaPosted Feb 13, 2013
Pros: the spa
Cons: the staff
Location: in the middle of nowhere
an idea would be to run a shuttle bus to the local towns or a the very least provide a local map.

Lovely Hotel, you'll need a carPosted Sep 29, 2012
Lovely hotel to explore Lake Garda, providing you have a car. Hotel was very comfortable, quiet and pleasant, Make sure you take a travel kettle to make a cup of tea / coffee in your room. Positives were free wifi, free packing and included buffet breakfast!

Luxurious TreatPosted Sep 14, 2012
Pros: I particularly enjoyed the roof top pool for the views over Lake Garda.
Cons: The hotel does not provide evening meals, there are so few restaurants locally, and the hotel is at least 4 km from Desenzano village.
Location: The location is very pretty, although it is at least 4km from both Desenzano and Sirmione. .
There was no hotel shuttle bus service operating during our stay 8-13 September 2012. No bicycles were available. We were told they were broken and away for repair. Also It's the first hotel we have been to in Europe that we did not receive a welcome pack in our room. Especially when we were booking and I advised that our vacation was for my 50th birthday. Bus stops for the local buses are outside the hotel which is handy. All things considered the hotel is very luxurious.

Palace Hotel lives up to the namePosted Aug 13, 2012
We have just returned from our second stay at this fabulous hotel. We first visited here about 3 years ago and were absolutely delighted to discover that the Hotel was as good as we remembered it to be. The staff we had dealings with were, without exception, helpful, courteous and willing to go the extra mile to ensure their guests were happy. We had a Double Top View room again and I have to say everything was excellent and the Maid kept it immaculately with good nature. The rooftop pool was closed on our last visit, we were delighted to find it open this time and spent many happy hours there just drinking in the view and lazing in the pool. Breakfasts were excellent, and they serve an range of excellent lunches. Our only gripe, and it is a tiny one, is that they do not serve evening meals... Having said that, Sirmione has an excellent range of Restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive so it is not a big issue if you have a car, there are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel if you do not have your own transport. We will definitely be returning to the Palace Hotel again in the future. Lake Garda has many jewels, the Palace Hotel is certainly one of them!

Great for a relaxing breakPosted Aug 2, 2012
Pros: The pools were nice, tho the rooftop pool could have been deeper - not deep enough or big enough to swim in.
Cons: The children squealing, playing ball games and jumping in the main pool whilst adults were trying to swim and relax.
Location: Not walkable to Desanzano in the heat. Almost impossible to get a taxi back from Desanzano to the hotel.
The room was pleasant with a partial view of the Lake, which was lovely. The terraces were large, but I didn't enjoy being so close to the main road and roundabout. The hotel shuttle was brilliant, and we used it several times - to go to and from Desanzano and Sirmione, and a couple of times we caught the ferry to and from these towns. All in all a nice relaxing break.

A very nice stayPosted Jul 23, 2012
Hotel is a little distance out of town, about a 45 minute walk from Desenzano. Taxi's were quick and cost between 10 and 14 Euros depending on time of day. The hotel also rents bikes which are a pleasant way to see the nearby areas or to nip into town for dinner. The hotel itself was lovely, with 2 pools, one on the roof, clean rooms and a nice breakfast.
