A spacious apartment well situated with a 5 minute walk to the station and to shops, restaurants and Desenzano del Garda lake front. Friendly staff, really nice breakfast, excellent pool area.

Wonderful hotel, great staff
Fabulous stay. Staff were wonderful, so helpful and friendly with lots of great advice on things to do and see. We stayed 12 days, went to the opera in Verona, sightseeing in Mantua, Lazise, Bardolino and the thermal spa in Sirmione.

Mainly happy in Desenzano
The apartment was very nice, spacious and well set out with lots of cupboard space and a well-equipped kitchen. However the mattresses were very hard. I requested a mattress topper and was given one which did help. The pool areas had lots of sunbeds although the pool was rather cold and small. The location was excellent - a ten minute walk from the train station (although we did have to cope with a strike day) and a 5 minute walk into a very nice town.

Weekend in Desenzano
Great Hotel, 5 minutes walk into Desenzano, where there are plenty of shops and cafes to while away the hours. We were upgraded to an apartment with a kitchen and lounge which was great, everything you needed. Free parking offered. The pool was fabulous especially after a hot day seeing the sights. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Desenzano!
Great staff at checkin, very helpful and open to helping with any local questions. Apartment was very comfortable and air conditioning was welcomed. There was a microwave, kettle, and double electric in the kitchen as well as enough dishes etc although there seemed to be a few glasses missing. Pool was very nice but pretty cold and shallow so not the best for doing laps but a welcome cool down in the heat. Parking was great too in the lower level which also had several recycle bins and trash bins too. We weren’t quite sure what we needed to do so we emptied the trash and recycle every morning! We had a nice balcony but didn’t get to use it except to dry our washing. There was a self service laundromat a few blocks from the hotel towards the Simply supermarket, which was great, but a lot closer. Overall a good stay, the only feedback that we have is that when we were cleaning the kitchen we found several pieces of dried rice, we didn’t have any rice, and also found long black hairs in the bathroom which were not from us. We cleaned them up to avoid any risk of a penalty! The balcony also had several dust balls. I believe we left the apartment cleaner than we found it! Not a complaint just an observation. Hotel was very close to town and the boats as well as to the train station for trains to Verona and Venice.

Close to beach, restaurants and train station
I have just returned from a holiday to Desenzano and I’m so pleased we stayed at Il Sogno. From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful. They organised an 18th birthday cake to be delivered for my son’s birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was cleaned daily. The location of the hotel is perfect. We wanted to be within walking distance if the beach and restaurants and also to be near the train station for travelling to Milan and Venice. If this is what you are looking for then this is the place for you.

Great Aparthotel in Desenzano
Excellent base for the south end of Lake Garda with easy access to both the Lake and train station for travel to Milan, Verona and Venice. Lovely family run apart hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Very clean with good facilities including a swimming pool.

Lovely apartment with lake view
This is our second stay here, and didn’t disappoint. The staff are all wonderful, all queries were handled swiftly. Location is good, a small supermarket is nearby, and it is only a short walk into the centre of town. Ferries on the Lake are easily accessed for visits to other small towns nearby. Good rail service to Verona too.

Handy location
Stayed here for 3 nights as it seemed to be a good spot to explore Lake Garda, and was near to the railway station from which we could take a day-trip to Venice. For these two aspects, it was spot-on. The town of Desenzano del Garda was a real surprise - a nice centre with lots going on and (touristy) things to do and thanks to their recommendations, we found some fabulous restaurants off the beaten track, but still within walking distance of the apartment. Likewise, the train station was a 10-min walk and the services to both Verona and Venice were regular and reasonable. I would definitely recommend using the train to visit Venice rather than drive there! Unlike other hotels we stayed in during our tour of the Italian Lakes & Venice, there was no restriction on the use of the apartment's air-con, which was such a relief after a day out touring! Would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anyone wishing to stay in this area of Lake Garda.

Fabulous hotel, amazing staff who couldn't do enough for you and with a great sense of humour. Wonderful breakfast and lovely quiet pool area. Everything in the apartment made for a very comfortable stay with everything you would need to do self catering. Excellent location between the Main town area and the railway station. Only about5 minswalkto either.

Excellent hotel
Desenzano is a great base for seeing the area, with a wide selection of restaurants and good transport links. Everyone at Il Sogno made us welcome and was available to help with advice or recommendations. An excellent breakfast too!

Spacious & comfortable
First apartment experience for us as opposed to a hotel. Excellent! The kitchenette was well equipped with a good sized pot for pasta, a strainer and a cheese grater. All dishes, glasses and even placements provided. There was pantry space with a clothes drying rack which was a thoughtful addition. A short walk (albeit an uphill incline) to the train station, a stroll to the main piazza in Desenzano and the ferries plus restaurants, makes Il Sogno perfectly situated for a pleasant holiday base. Bed and pillows comfortable and a great shower with good water pressure. Rooms cleaned daily. We will certainly return.

Nice apartment %minutes from Lakeside
Spent 10days in this comfortable apartment which has everything you need for selfcatering.Beds firm but we slept well!Pool clean and plenty of sun and loungers. A supermarket 2mins walk and a larger onewith much more choice about 10mins walk. Lakeside 5mins walk for Ferries to all places on Garda Lakeside.

Beautiful Hotel
We stayed at the hotel with our 2 boys aged 12 & 13. The apartment was immaculately clean and cleaned daily. The staff were warm and helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to the train station and the centre of Desenzano, so no car required. We often had the pool to ourselves too which was nice. The facilities within the apartment were adequate and the air conditioning worked well. The supermarket is 3 minutes walk away which was very handy.

Convenient for Railway Station and Lake
We enjoyed our weeks stay at Residence Il Sogno. It was very central for everything. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The towels etc. were changed as required and apartment cleaned daily. Our apartment had a large balcony with attractive views over to the Lake. The swimming pool looked very inviting but it was too cold to use as yet.

Lovely hotel in good location
We stayed in this hotel for over a week and it is was easy and convenient to stay in. Everything arranged perfectly for an early arrival and late check out. Staff were helpful, polite and very pleasant. Room lovely and spacious. Well laid out, with great views. Self catering was very possible although we spent much of the time out and about - so good to have a fridge for ice cubes and cold drinks. Supermarket trip very easy to walk to. I was in real need of some time out and relaxation and although we went to the opera in Verona, a day trip to Venice and a boat trip to Sirmiofe. I still came back very refreshed.

Nice, clean and friendly hotel near hub of resort
A family of four, including 14yo daughter and 8yo son, we spent a very enjoyable 10 days at this hotel in the lovely resort of Desenzano del Garda. We always felt very comfortable and well looked after by the hotel staff. The rooms were cleaned daily (super quickly) with fresh towels always provided. Breakfasts were pleasant and the staff were really friendly. The pool was nice and clean and there was never problem finding a peaceful spot to relax. The hotel was close to the vibrant centre of the resort with all the facilities we needed in addition to regular boat links to other lakeside towns including beautiful Sermione, only 20 mins away. We were also a 5 minute walk from the railway station where we were able to travel to Venice (1hr 30mins) and Verona (30 mins). We could have also gone by rail to Milan or Peschiera for links to nearby Gardaland. We would highly recommend this hotel and location for any families considering a holiday to Lake Garda.
