Very friendly and accommodating staff. There were no food or beverage services during the day and evening. We did not make use of the breakfast service. Would stay here again, especially as the main metro line runs by the hotel.

The hotel was located in an excellent part of the city and was very easy to travel due to the metro located next to the hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable, It’s old but needs a bit of refreshing. The staff were very courteous. Overall we had a good stay.

Nice neighbourhood and the property is nicely maintained. The room I stayed was very small and barely any room to open up a 25” luggage on the floor. Even though there was 2 beds, the room was more for one person.

Our stay was great! The hotel is right next door to a Metro stop. Easy to get to the main train station (2 stops north) and the lake (2 stops south). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the room had air conditioning, as it was very hot while we were there!

When I made the reservation I said to include breakfast. I prepaid for the room including breakfast. At check-in I was told it didn't include breakfast and they wanted to charge an additional $25 per person just for breakfast. That would have been $50 more!!!!

The staff were wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and worry free. They booked cabs, held and delivered packages to us, kept our room immaculate and always greeted us each time we arrived or departed the building. We loved that a Métro station was right next to the hotel and a Métro Transport Card was included with our room. We used it frequently allowing us to explore many parts of the city where we also walked a lot. Since Lausanne is on a hill, you’re either going up or down and the Métro was a good option. The hotel is located halfway between the train station and Lac Léman. There is a lovely café just a few doors down and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant at the Carlton Lausanne Boutique Hotel is superb and they also serve a very tasty breakfast buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold choices. This was the perfect base for our week’s stay in Lausanne and we will definitely stay there the next time we’re in Lausanne.

Loved this property. Would stay here again. Units are European style (classic room) but storage is maximized with hanging cupboards on either side of the bed as well as normal hanging closet by entrance and closet with shelves. For more space next time will take executive room which is average size US room with balcony. Management was great and helpful. Subway was right next door. Breakfast expensive @20 euros per person but cafes are within walking distance. Opportunity for the property… coffee available free in the morning. Room coffee is I stand packet and kettle.

There was an army of ants that invaded the bathroom, and later the desk. I called front desk, I went to see twice the receptionists. After three days of complaints, they never cleaned up.
