Close to lots of things

You can park your car and walk anywhere downtown. It has an indoor & outdoor pool so it doesn't matter rain or shine. But get down to the outside pool early. Chairs fill up fast.

Very disappointed!!

Posted Aug 16, 2014
We understand the hotel is under new owners! We have been coming for sixteen years and were very disappointed. Not clean as it used to be in the past! The beds were very uncomfortable and we have always been able to get a cot. And thAts no longer available. Also we were only able to pRk 2 cars there's and the 3rd had to be parked 3 blocks away!! We have always had 3 cars parked and not a problem. Also the appliances in the kitchen were very basic. We didn't have a toaster and pitcher to make drinks. Which were always available in the past! The cleanliness was very poor too. Stains on the carpet and odor in the room. We also had a bug in the kitchen. We never found out what it was? They said it wasn't a roach. Which I was very thankful. I hope you work on these things! It's a shame. We loved the place in the past. First time we have been disappointed!

Nice hotel centrally located.

Pros: Clean room and pool area with a bar.
Cons: One of the blinds was missing a slat.
Location: Shopping downtown, boat tour, art in the park, and many excellent restaurants.
Pleasant stay, walked to restaurants, boat tour and downtown shopping district.

A bit to hot to sleep

Posted Aug 5, 2014
First night air conditioning went out, service man fixed until the next day then went out again. Finally after second call they replaced with a brand new air conditioner but then the sofa bed broke when we called front desk they said they would look at it never did. Do sorry to say I don't think we will return to The Cove again 😜

Fun pool, great location, outdated room

Posted Jul 29, 2014
2 kids under 4 yes old loved the pools! Room was large but we paid a large sum and not overly impressed. Beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows weren't any better. The bed was located on the outside wall to hallway so we heard everyone coming in late and slamming doors.

Struggling to get back on their feet

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Location, and the tradition we have of going there as a family.
Cons: Clean it up (it is starting to smell), fix what is broken, replace what is missing, and get the fun back out by the pool. More competent desk staff.
Location: Right down by the lake, walking distance to everything downtown.
We have been going to this hotel for 13 years. The quality of the rooms, the entertainment by the pool, and the staff had been going down rapidly for the past 5 or 6 years. Last year new management took over and it began to improve again, but this year it seems to have stuttered. The rooms were missing items like glasses, a toaster, hand towels, etc. (We had 4 rooms, and each one was missing something different.) They used to have live music by the pool on the weekend, then they went to DJs. Last year they had a live musician, not a whole band, but at least it was better than the DJs. This year they were back to DJs for about 4 hours, and then the pool staff played music from their mobile phones. They took a step forward last year, but this year they fell a step back.

Nice and convenient to downtown. Rooms could use some updating.

Pleasant experience for the most part. The hotel was expensive for the rooms offered and the bed was very uncomfortable as were the pillows provided.
