We stopped there at the last minute in a terrible storm. Staff was very helpful. The pub was a pleasant surprise and the breakfast was good. (The breakfast sandwich seemed to be homemade...yummy!)

Not much choice of activities the hotel was more of rest and relaxation. However that was good for me enjoy a quit experience then went into Lake George village. Therefore i must say looking for a good lake attraction water, mountains and other natural experience Lake George.

We liked the dining attendant. She was most accomodating. Beds were comfortable, a/c-heating unit worked well. Rate was average priced. Cookies were a nice touch after a long drive but, ran out quickly the next day. Close to attractions and stores.

Not a non smoking room, not quiet or clean enough
We booked two rooms. One of them was fine. However, the moment I walked into the other room, I realized it is not a non smoking room as promised. Maybe not as bad as regular smoking room but definitely someone had been smoking there. The air conditioning is not quiet enough for sleep, and I found a mosquito in the bathroom, in October!

Hotel is ok. Nothing spectacular. Breakfast was very good as far as hotel meals go. Price was way out of range for what hotel offered. There's not much in for lodging in Ticonderoga or anywhere around 20 miles away. Here you'll pay top dollar for an average stay

The area is so empty and quiet. Just amazing. People are very friendly here, including the hotel stuff of course. The hotel was perfectly located for us!

It gets its price as the only hotel in the area. It was clean, and comfortable. It was not a $225 plus tax stay however. "free" breakfast was average. Decor is old, lighting in hallways is dreary, As is true with most places with an indoor pool everything smelled of chlorine. No bakery in the area and it shows when every thing is cling wrapped. Juice machine didnt work day one, toaster was broken day two. Still I have stayed in far worse.

Breakfast was pretty good. The meal at the restaurant in the evening was decidedly average. Staff were attentive. The TV is useless -- about 8 channels and all featured second or third rate programming. Bring a computer to entertain yourself.

Vending machines and coffee makers broken; kids and drunk people shouting up and down the hallways while we were trying to sleep; room smelled like cigarettes covered up with cleaning products. Lots of dust in our room. It was overall a dreary, depressing place which I somehow paid $250/night for.

It was nice and close to the fort. The staff at Burgoyne's Grill were very friendly. It would have been nicer if they were open on Sunday. Not many food options in town after 5
