For the price, the accomodations were too basic.

The room was one step up from camping. The staff was very nice and friendly, but we expected more for our money.

Great stay for family with small children!

Pros: The room was clean and close to the lake. And it is close to the town of Lake George so within minutes we were able to go into town.
Cons: Just add a water faucet by the exit of the lake. That will avoid bringing sand into the rooms.
Location: It was close to restaurants, and places to rent boats. Near to Lake George village as well so you can book a Dinner or Fireworks cruise.
Had a wonderful time. We stayed for the Labor Day weekend, and my boys, ages 3 and 5 loved it here. They loved swimming in the lake, and just running around. I can't wait to visit again. Hopefully for a whole week next year.

Right on the lake

Pros: Lakefront. Flat entrance so it's easy to enter and exit on cycles. Friendliness and cleanliness.
Location: Located in Diamond Point which is a few miles outside of downtown Lake George. It's not far from Bolton's Landing or the town of Lake George.
Stayed there pre-season. Owners were super nice and welcoming. Stayed in the efficiency which was very clean, no bugs. Beds were very comfortable and linens were clean. There were extra blankets in the room which I used since it dipped in the 40's at night. Used the baseboard heater to take off the chill in the room. Just a few steps and you're right at the lake and beach. There were kayaks and canoes available to use on the lake and a lots of Adirondack chairs by the lake and fire pit. Plenty of chopped wood ready for evening campfire by the lake. Each cabin had their own picnic table and grill for use. The grounds were kept immaculate. We didn't spend a lot of time at the resort since we were there to ride our cycles during Americade, but if we didn't spend our days riding, I'd have been out on the lake or sitting by the lake. The owners had a bike wash station set up for the cycles which I thought was very thoughtful. The price can't be beat for all the amenities available. I booked sight unseen other than the photos online, and it was even nicer than the pictures. Definitely would return there.

Clean and good off-season price.

Pros: lakefront and clean
Location: 3 miles from the village where youmhad to go to buy food
The motel room was small, clean, cozy. The beds were confortable. Everything worked including the wi-fi. The kayak, life-jacket and paddles were readily available. The lake was very accessible and the view lovely. We didn't see any staff on our second day so we tidied the room ourselves, but we had been left plenty of supplies including towels.

Great place for families in Lake George

Posted Jul 14, 2012
This is a clean, well maintained motel/cabin resort. We were pleasantly surprised by the property, and again the cleanliness. The beach area was nice, as was the water equipment. We stayed in the motel efficiency and it was great. I was nervous that we would be able to hear the people around us, but it was really quiet and peaceful. We can't wait to go back, and highly recommend it.

A good value for the money

Pros: Friendly and flexible staff.
Location: Great location
Me and my spouse stayed here with our 5 year old son. It was our first time in this place and at lake george. The first day we got there, there was a large family reunion (men and boys only) which seemed a bit loud and brash. And we felt like we walked into a private party. We thought it was going to be an unpleasant stay but the next day onwards, it was very pleasing as the large family dispersed a little bit and smaller families and couples remained. The staff was extremely friendly and flexible to different things we asked for. The beach is nice and cleaned up every few days. Kayaks and boats were easily available. The outdoor camp fire area and a ping pong table is an additional plus. Like, other hotels on the road, it can be a bit noisy if your room is closer to the road. You can hear the vehicles passing very frequently. Other than that it was a pleasant surprise. Sunrise was gorgeous.

Good location away from the business of Lake George.
