Pleasant Surprise

Pros: Location, staff, size of room.
Location: Shopping.
Didn't know what to expect for the reasonable rate. Was very clean. Nice pool. In the heart of the outlet malls.

Well located and quiet

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The quietness and the location.
Cons: Just wiping the walls an easy thing to improve.
Location: Right across from the outlets and very close to the Great Escape.
Liked location, just across the street from outlets, could shop on foot. Price was reasonable. The only thing is in the bathroom the walls were unclean, something easy to keep clean so left us with an uncomfortable feeling.

Route 9 nightmare.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
The inn is right on Route 9 across from outlet malls with heavy traffic. The pool faces the highway. All night we could hear traffic noise. The room was relatively clean but the toilet did not flush. Parking was fine.

French Mountain Inn in Lake George, NY

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Access, comfort, privacy
Cons: Ensure that wireless is functioning as promised; improve TV.
The good thing about this room was that it was very private, with window opening out to a grassy area with 3 picnic tables and backed by a wall of trees. Good bed, fair TV (but I don't travel to watch TV). Nice bathroom. Promised wireless in the room did not function, nor could I get a signal at the front desk (even though the proprietor had his laptop on and connected across the lobby from me). That was a critical flaw, as it prevented me from isolating my next night's stay in Quebec City (tricky, especially since I am French-illiterate). All in all, a fair place to stay, with a price that was okay and very easy access to highways.

I did not expect anything too fancy, because it was a cheap hotel. However, I did expect it to be clean. The floor was in desperate need of a vacuuming, and there were overlooked used towels hanging up on top of our shower curtain. The dresser had a broken drawer that hung out unattractively, as well. Still, good if you need a cheap hotel with a great accessibility to the outlets.
