“Will be returning..”
The resort was pleasant, clean and close to the village. It has a nice set-up for a heated pool, and has lake property, with docks for a boat. Place seemed freshly painted, and renovated.
“Great staff”
We stayed at this location during Hurricane Irene. The manager, Debbie, was very helpful in relocating us to a higher and drier room. The maintenance staff helped with directions and recommendations once we were able to leave the area. Nice hotel for the price with a quiet location.
“Will be back next year!”
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. My 2 kids loved it! My husband and I loved it! The view from our room was awesome. The beach was perfect for my kids. Very close to village. My only complaint would be the hot water wasn't enough for a full shower for 1 person, never mind 4 people showering.
“good location”
The hotel is located within a couple minute drive from the main road for stores and restaurants. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions to different activities like horseback riding or recommending great restaurants to try. The Prospect Mountain diner has really good food and is inexpensive. There is also a great spot near Bennett horseback riding that has excellent wraps and burgers also inexpensive. Whitewater rafting through the Adirondack rafting company is also a must but it requires a little bit of a drive.
“Simple, clean.”
Not fancy but very clean. Great deal compared to sorrounding hotels prices. It fit our budget. You will always see employees working hard at all times around the building. The AC worked great; the rooms are spacious; the fridge was real clean and no ice build up - may be is just me but I care for that! There's a very small coffee maker; the cleanning people came every day and you get pool towels at the pool. They have two paddle boats that you can rent for very little money an hour and takes care of the kids... I think we got a lot for the money we paid. It's just a great value.
“Lacking”
The online profile portrayed a much nicer resort than the actual grounds. After two days, I had to request fresh towels and our room was not cleaned (or fresh sheets offered) during our stay. Our partial lakeview room, actually overlooked an outdoor patio area, where the lake was only visible from the parking lot!
“great room great price”
Can't fault this hotel. Last minute booking and Looks like inside of rooms have been renovated. Outside could do with a little TLC but that is nothing. Bathroom on the small side but if there is only 2 of you will be ok.
“Clean and simple”
The room was clean and had a view of the lake.
“Weekend Traveler”
I have to agree with Writer from NH in June...This hotel was a disappointment and way overpriced for the condition. From pictures online, all looked good and we liked the idea of being right on the lake so were willing to pay a bit more for that (but not for here) This could be a great retro-style hotel because of the building design but it has not been kept up and just feels old and not so clean. We were only going to stay one night and then continue to another area so only booked one night and I am glad of that. I was able to put up with a lot and not complain because I knew it was only for one night. I would NOT want to stay here for a week. We ended up staying in Lake George longer but we found another hotel that was better....same price but much cleaner and even though not on water, that was fine.
“Nice hotel and pleasant staff.”
We had a very nice time at the hotel. Pool was nice and view lake is excellent.
