Pros: Relaxed, well-appointed mid-19th Century home. Very fun.
Wonderful B&B within walking distance of the quaint downtown area in Glens Falls, NY. Lots of good restaurants and things to do. Well worth the trip.

Bed plus breakfast

Posted Feb 1, 2015
The reason we seek out a b&b is to have a comfortable bed PLUS a great breakfast. Rooms were pleasant and comfortable but the breakfast was comparable to a two star chain hotel. Very disappointed!

bed and no breakfast

Posted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels
This inn is run down and poorly taken care of. The outside needs repair and some paint and the lawn needs mowing and weeding and a few flowers wouldn't hurt. It is in a neighborhood that has seen better days near a main street with lots if stores for rent. The room was clean but the decor screamed yard sale. And although the info sheet in the room described gourmet breakfast , we were informed by the barefoot desk person that breakfast consists only of muffins, sweet rolls and fruit. We chose to look elsewhere for breakfast. Altogether, this was tge worst B&B we've ever been to.

2nd choice accomodations in 2nd choice city

Couldn't get a room in Saratoga Springs so looked to Glens Falls and found this, which was 20 minutes away and an easy drive. The B&B was disappointing at every level. Fortunately the inside is better maintained than the outside of the building but still it all looks a bit saggy. The room had a soft bed that had seen better times; the worst shower I've used since summer camp 40 years ago; and a breakfast of "serve yourself" supermarket muffins and cereals. The owners were entirely absent and off premises. The good news is that it was clean, the one person who was intermittently present was warm and friendly, and they have a help-yourself policy to what is available in the kitchen, such as it was. It seemed like they were trying but didn't have enough funds to do the upgrades which the place needs.

Very nice place. Very nice room. But it should not be called a B&B unless you serve breakfast.

Eh, not that great

Posted Jul 7, 2014
We stayed here for one night and didn't spend a lof time there. Staff was friendly, but unprofessional in the sense she was barefoot when she greeted us, wasn't around when we got there, and we had to call her cell to check in. She did run out to the store and buy ice for us when we asked for some and they were out. The place wash little dated, but classy which added to the charm of the place. The breakfast aspect of this b&b was dissapointing as its just cereal and danishes. It was nice for a one night deal if you need a place to stay and there aren't many options, but we didn't love it.

A wonderful place to stay

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: Glens Falls is artsy and fun. The Hyde Collection museum is a must-see. Saratoga and SPAC are a half-hour away, and Lake George is nearby.
A conveniently located, charming Inn. Very comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts. Keurig coffee and teas available at all times. Free Wi-Fi. The innkeepers are all so friendly and welcoming, and we really felt at home.
