Nice hotel, great view, pleasant staff.

This is a nice hotel to stay in lake George with large room and great view on mountain. Staff is very friendly and always there for you. Lake George is perfect for family with plenty of activities, beautiful road, all is at low cost, highly recommended.

Never again

Pros: Coffee was decent.
Cons: Insulate the walls
Location: Lake George is nearby, but it is a rude, overpriced and obnoxious place. Next time there is a family funeral I will look for a room in Saratoga.
Rented this room to go to a memorial for my brother who died due to an SUV driver failing to yield while making a left hand turn. The walls were so thin I could hear the person in the neighboring room snoring all night. The highspeed internet did not work.

Ok for 1 night stay

Posted May 28, 2014
Staff is helpful and very friendly. Went above and beyond. Room was just ok. Room was clean but lacked some amenities so I had to ask for some things. Overall ok for 1 night maybe 2. Lake George is near hotel but like 18 minutes walking and 5 minutes by car.

Decent for price.

Decent hotel for the price. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Walls are paper thin so hope your neighbors are quieter than ours were!

Overall a good stay

This is a good hotel with a good location. We stayed there for one night only and really enjoyed our stay.Lake George and prospect mountain both are very closely located. The only reason i have given 4 star is because of the b'fast served.Very basic b'fast with average service.Still i would like to recommend this hotel.

Great view of the lake from the restaurant.

Pros: The accessibility to Hwy 9 and I-87 is great. Especially important to me for this weekend of looking at the fall colors.
Cons: The room had a musty odor but this was handled by opening the windows to fresh air. Taking the time to open rooms to air them out would be a plus for
Location: Oktoberfest was enjoyable as was the ride on Lake George. Beautiful view of the mountains. Lake Placid & Fort Ticonderoga are close.
Good value considering the age of the property. Needs some work, but all properties in this age range need work. Ownership is trying to add value by updating the property with new paint. Outstanding view from Bear Bites, the breakfast area for the hotel.

Ok for a couple of nights around town

Hotel is well located, rooms are clean but rundown, bathrooms need update, doors need some oil, heat works ok. Breakfast was enough, the attendant is extremely helpful, very dedicated. Kuddos for her.

The carpet was obviously dirty, the room smelled musty, sort of moldy, there was an old stain on the sheets, and the tv color tube was going (everything on one side of the screen was hot pink). Next time in the area I'll spend more for a better room & location (the driveways are a total nightmare), and stay a shorter length of time. Oh, and the upstairs neighbors were really deaf, while the downstairs neighbors had yapping dogs.

Hotel has seen better days but it was adequate for my needs. Carpet needs to be upgraded and breakfast was a tad cold. Staff was very nice and helpful.
