Excellent Lakeside Place to Stay in Lake Havasu

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: The location is beautiful. It felt so good to be staying at the Nautical because our suite was comfortable and modern, and even had a lakeside deck.
Cons: I can't think of anything that could improve the stay we had. We were completely satisfied.
Location: The location is on the lake. It was nice to just walk around and enjoy the natural beauty. We enjoyed the London Bridge and many shopping centers.
My boyfriend's job was having a Christmas party on the lakeside terrace at the Nautical. We decided to stay there due to location and ease of getting to and from the party. We were sure glad we made that decision. We booked a Cove room because it was the most affordable and nearby. When we checked in the Cove rooms were closed, so we were upgraded to a Beach room free of charge. Not only were the beach rooms what we had wanted beforehand, but the room was only a few feet from the event we were attending. Plus when we were checking out, we mentioned that during our stay we could never connect to the free wifi offered at any time, so the office representative waived our resort fee. We were so happy with our stay and can't wait to return.

Cons: I did not care to have a daily resort fee added to my bill. I didn't have a clue that this was coming.
We stayed here in January 2015, during the Balloon Fest right next door, The Havasu City Balloon Fest. It was great to watch all the balloons from the front of your room, with the nice landing out front. Then from a balcony looking over the lake from the back of the hotel room, we watched the balloons dipping down to the lake. I loved the layout of the room, a really nice sitting room, 2 TVs, full refrigerator and a microwave. All sooooo nice. And it looked like brand new carpeting. 2 a/c and heaters! Very nice.

exceptional view.

Posted Jan 15, 2015
View was exceptional. We were somewhat disappointed in the unrefinished old furniture. No closet. Nice little suite. Some mildew on inside of shower curtain. Had to return to the office because both keys quit working. Not unusual for many hotels but I hate it when you say the keys were on a pocket nowhere close to magnets, phone or other cards and they still blame you for them not working. That said, they did dispatch a nice young man to make sure we were able to get in.

Old but nice

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: It was on the water and had a nice charm
Cons: Yes, it needs work
Location: There is a golf course right there, but Mapquest had the directions wrong with the site being at least a mile away from where we wanted to go.
The Hotel was old yet nice, the room was clean. Overall it was a nice place to stay; it could use some remolding, some road work is also needed entering the property.

dirty room

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Room was dirty upon check-in. I don't think they ever vacuumed during our three night stay. Faucet had toothpaste splatters on it. One bedspread had a small brown spot on it. We will never stay there again.

I'll be fair... but it was still a 2 out'a 5 stay

Pros: I'm a recently retired corporate manager who was Hilton Honors Diamond for most of my career. There were "no features" about Nautical that impressed.
Cons: Improving this property would be best accommodated by literally re-building the rooms and doing a major property overhaul. I doubt that's feasible.
Location: If you have a boat, you might enjoy running your hull right up to the beach in front of your room. But I'd rather stay in Parker and launch there.
This was our first time staying in Havasu City. We left South Orange County, CA to join our daughter and her fiancé's family in Parker, AZ, just up the river, for New Years 2015. Their family has a home in The Keys, a waterfront community in Parker. But there wasn't enough room for the entire family and us. So as "The Grandparents", we chose to stay as close as possible. We were told that the best place to stay in Parker was Bluewater Hotel and Casino. But they didn't have any available rooms for New Years Eve. So we chose Havasu City's "better digs" over an economy hotel in Parker. (this wasn't the "better digs" we wanted.) I have to be fair and only compare Nautical to other waterfront resorts at which we've stayed. But even there, it tends to be a "fail." The key reason is "AGE." This property is portrayed more than twice as nice in the ad-photos. From the Expedia support materials, I honestly thought it was a reasonably contemporary property. In truth, it's built around what was current architecture, circa late 60's. I could be generous and say '70's, but it's a moot point. The property looks like the ownership is now milking it, with little re-investment in obvious hospitality industry upgrades. If you're under 30, planning a summer trip with friends to "Raise-Heck"..... than this "on it's own beach" resort may be for you. You won't care that the rooms are old, only the toilet and tub/shower are behind a lockable door and there's no closet!

Nice location but far from town

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: Get an internet connection that works
Location: Far from town much not to do in town anyhow
OK but the internet connection was bad. We were unable to get connection in the rooms and that was true for all the patrons

Posted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: Character, location (on water)
Cons: I would leave it just the way it is.
Location: Jump in the water!
Older resort, but lots of character and clean. I will visit again.
