“Very Enjoyable”

The Cherotel was comfortable, rather simple, but I like that, the bed was comfortable and the staff were nice at both the desk and the bar. It was an enjoyable stay. Only 15 minutes from Surfside, we had a very enjoyable get away for the night, we will visit again.

“Heading back to Surfside, TX soon!”

I enjoyed two different stays at this hotel. During my first visit, the hotel was setting up for a huge wedding, which appeared to be seamless. Cherotel allows pets, which was a huge plus for me. The staff was most accomodating, and the convenience of having a restaurant and bar on site was fabulous! My room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The fountain at the pool was not working properly, but the pool and pool area was clean. I would, and have, recommended this hotel to families, and single travelers alike. I plan to stay at this hotel the next time I head to the beach!

“a real value”

While on a recent business trip to Houston, I decided to drive down to the Lake Jackson area for a day & night. I looked at a few hotels & decided to stay at the Cherotel because there is a lounge on the property. I was very happy with my choice. It was worth the short drive from Houston. I was immediately impressed by the attractive grounds & entry area. The hotel has a huge atrium with a large fountain. I enjoyed the sound of the water while sitting in the lounge located to the side of the atrium. The service was great and my meal was excellent. I am generally not a fan of hotel beds, but these were certainly above average. The following day the front desk staff provided me with excellent directions to Surfside beach, which was less than 10 minutes away. I wish that I could have stayed longer. I will be planning a return trip.

“Great Bargain!”

I was very pleased with our stay. We just wanted to get out of town for a couple of days and stay somewhere different and do a little fishing. The cleanliness of the room was great. The bed was SO comfortable! It is an older hotel, but everything is clean working etc. We went to the bar and had a couple of drinks after check in and everyone was very nice. The free breakfast buffet is a real breakfast! Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc. I was very impressed. This is a remarkable deal! I would stay again, and plan to do so. The woman at the front desk was very nice and friendly. There was a wedding going on that Saturday night, but they seem to end those at a reasonable hour, so again not an issue.

“Can't wait to go back tomorrow”

My son and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and we enjoyed it so much until we are going back tomorrow. The staff was great, the food was excellent, and even the bartender greeted us personally {although I'm not an alcohol drinker }. I often go to Freeport Tx. to fish and I have stayed at several of the hotels there, but this was by far the best hotel that I have stayed at in Freeport. The only problem that I had was that rhe weekend before I came, there had been a wedding and the pool wasn't open because the lady at the front desk said the wedding party had trashed the pool sooo bad until they had to close it. And it was closed the entire two days that we were there and my son Zavy was somewhat dissapointed that he didn't get to swim, but besides that we really enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for the price. Ok I gotta go now so I can book my reservation for tomorrow. See ya

“When in the Lake Jackson area we will always stay there.”

From the time we entered the front door, we were greeted with smiles and hellos. The staff was very professional and made you feel welcome. The manager was always accessable to help and answer any questions you had. This hotel is first rate and affordable too.

“One of the better hotels in Lake Jackson/Freeport”

I have stayed at several other hotels in the area and this by far is the best. The staff was great and the room was nice. The on-site bar is a nice place to have a drink after a long day without having to go anywhere. We also enjoy the breakfast buffet....it's never crowded.
