Value for the MoneyPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep.
I've stayed at this hotel before and I'm sure I'll select it again. Its a good value for the money. Clean, comfortable, nice amenities, and an extremely friendly staff.

Mediocre hotelPosted Nov 25, 2013
Smelled like a cheap motel. The batheroom light was falling down a little and didn't work.

Nothing Special, Nothing Bad, Nothing GreatPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The linens were nice. The room was spacious.
Cons: The carpet is very old. The room, although it had been deodorized, still had a slight smell of stale cigarette tobacco.
Location: Very close to industry. This is an ideal location for business. 6 miles from the beach - okay location for vacationers.
Just and average stay at an average hotel. It was clean, sparse amenities, spacious room, a very old carpet. Slightly overpriced for the value. Otherwise it was just another hotel room... quite forgettable.

DisappointmentPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Nothing at all. There are better motels next door. May cost more, but I don't advise anyone staying a this La Quinta.
Cons: Bulldoze, dynamite or what ever it takes might be the best improvement. Also, the help needs P/R training in the worst way.
Location: If you are a photographer, as I am, there is a plethora of wildlife, with nearby wildlife refuge, Surfside Beach, Quintana Beach levees, and fishing.
My wife and I reserved a room for two nights with our credit card. Upon arrival at around 12:30 pm, we were told the room was not available. I said, "We have confirmed reservations." The motel clerk said, "Oh, there is a room if you want to be upstairs". I stated, "You have an elevator?" "No, we don't have elevators, replied the motel clerk. "If you insist on being downstairs, we can have a room ready in about two hours", came the reply. I said "We'll wait. When the room was ready, we checked in, and instead of using our credit card to pay, I offered cash. The room charges for two nights was $128.82. I gave the clerk $150.00 (three fifties), and received $21.18 in change. The first night the air-conditioner did no cool the room (very hot October 5th) and did not cool down to a comfortable level until about 2:00 am. I addition, the bath tub had a non-skid bottom, and as a result had trapped grease and oil which not been scrubbed away, making it very gritty. My wife notified housekeeping of this condition, and we never heard anything back. Upon checking out on the morning of October 7, I asked for my receipt, and was told there was no charge, that we had been compensated for ,the room. We may have been compensated, but they gladly kept my money. When I asked about the a receipt and the money, I was told to see management!

Worth the moneyPosted Oct 4, 2013
This hotel was very similar to the pictures shown. It was clean both inside the rooms and the outside. Located next to other clean hotels and a convenience store all within brief walking distance. The environment was also very quite. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to my family.

Decent for the pricePosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was fine, the only complaint is that when we got there the toilet seat had not been wiped off and the previous guest had a bad aim. We told the front desk and it was cleaned promptly.

Dirty roomsPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hi! We been there at least 8 times between the last 3 years. Unfortunately past Memorial Day and Labor weekend. I was very dissapointed with service. I prepaid and requested non smoking. By the time were there they said the reservations was on first come service. Providing me smoking rooms. Bathrooms were dirty and mildew all over. Never going back again

Not a Normal La QuintaPosted Sep 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is tired. It needs a remodel. The sinks drain slow, the water running from the faucets had a rust tint. The furniture was in need of attention. However; the TV was new and great. The A/C worked great. The front desk was helpful. I normally prefer La Quinta as they typically hold to a high standard. Not so this one.

Needs updatingPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Classic motel issue...drastically needs updating ..broken furniture , worn down carpeting, but why update if your 100% booked every weekend with beach visitors.
