STAY AWAY
The place was NOT paradise. Not by a long shot. Out of 5 places I got off the internet, this one deserves to be taken from your service. They gave me " better room " for no charge on the Monday I arrived because no one was in the small hotel. OK so far. The train tracks next door was also not a big negative. The floor with the rooms had about a 30 second timer to turn off the hall lights. And on dark days, it was like a cave. No one has to save money that much. English was terrible for them. Breakfast dishes on the buffet table had many small knats on them. Then they moved me to my single room. No frig. Toilet room way down the hall!! Toilet button leaked all over the toilet. Finally, there was no heat.They would bring a portable one if you complained. The first two did not work. They said it was too expensive to run in September.

I will not visit again
The room was clean, but the rooms weren't sound proofed so you could hear everything going on, other hotel guests coming home etc. Plus cargo trains passing by several times during night. Breakfast was ok, coffee not good.

Nice rustic place for a great price
I traveled with my mom and the times we share a room are long gone. So I got single rooms not looking that the single rooms have not a bathroom enclosed but separate. Not a problem, but be aware of it. The place itself is beautiful with many relaxing areas in the garden around the hotel. I would go there again.

Pleasant Stay
Good hotel close to the station. Nice pool area with plenty of loungers. Great view of the lake from our balcony. Quiet at night and comfortable bed. Breakfast was a bit limited but good coffee

Great hotel, but off the beaten path
This was a lovely hotel if you don't mind being in a small Italian town and away from the main towns. We stayed here on our way between Luzern, Switzerland and Milan, Italy. It was a 30 minute drive back to Locarno but the drive was very easy as was finding parking in the city. The hotel itself is in a quaint town and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful though their English is very limited. They were very accommodating and even let us pick our room, which was a large 4 person room with a big, private bathroom. The garden and pool areas are really nice and the breakfast was delicious. I would say it was more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. If you are don't mind being away from the bigger city this is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Mein Einzelzimmer war mich nicht akzeptabel Dusche und WC auf dem Flur konnte aber ohne Probleme umbuchen. Gutes Frühstück vom Buffet und sehr gute Küche. Personal sehr Freundlich und der See ist zu Fuss schnell erreicht. Ich würde wieder kommen.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit tollem Pool, allerdings sind die Sanitäranlagen dort sehr schmuddelig. Zimmer ganz nett, allerdings roch es nach Katzenurin, der Kühlschrank hätte dringend Putzen nötig. Badezimmertüre lässt sich konstuktionsbedingt nicht ganz schließen, was ich als sehr unangenehm empfinde. Sehr störend war auch die Dauerbeschallung mit Radio am Pool und Frühstücksraum, auch im Zimmer die ganze Nacht zu hören. Frühstück war einfach, keine Cerealien oder Müsli. Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und bemüht, wir werden aber sicher nicht wieder kommen, den Preis ist es nicht wert. Maccagno selber ist ein ruhiger Ferienort, wer shoppen oder flanieren will ist in Luino oder Cannobio besser aufgehoben.

Das Hotel liegt in einem ruhigen Dorf, welches nur wenige Unternehmensmöglichkeiten bietet. Dafür ist es eben sehr ruhig und man kann prima den See und die Natur genießen. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, zum Klettern, für Wassersport usw. Eine Anlegestelle für Personenschiffahrt ist auch da, Linienverkehr nach Plan. Das Hotel selbst ist familiengeführt, d.h. nicht alles ist perfekt, es soll einen nicht stören wenn mal ein paar Kartons rumliegen oder der Rasenmäher länger steht. Der Chef kann nicht an allen Ecken gleichzeitig sein. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Der Pool war sauber und das Essen im hoteleigenen Restaurant sehr gut!

Het hotel is erg netjes en in een mooie omgeving gelegen. Het ontbijt mag iets uitgebreider maar desondanks dat is het een prima locatie voor een overnachting.

Schöne Anlage
Eine schöne Unterkunft die besser gepflegt werden könnte. Das Hotel ist gut gelegen und Familien geführt. Die Anlage ist eigentlich traumhaft, leider aber nicht so gepflegt. Hier gibt es Potential. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet und das Frühstück köstlich. Parkplatz in der Anlage vorhanden.

Hôtel sympa, un peu sur le déclin. La chambre est très confort et grande. Literie top. Petit déjeuner correct. Seul bémol. L'isolation sonore des douche, du couloir et des stores est limite. Hôtel.com ou l'établissent aurait pu prévenir de la taxe supplémentaire pour le chien de €10 par jour

Der Garten ist fantastisch und auch der Pool sieht sehr schön aus. Leider konnten wir ihn wegen des schlechten Wetters nicht benutzen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausgezeichnet ausser dem Capucchino, der wässrig schmeckt. . Die Bahn geht nahe vorbei und ist deutlich zu hören, auch nachts. Im allgemeinen ist das hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Magnifique séjour. Hôtel propre agréable fonctionnel Tout pour la detente piscine jacuzzi velo .jardin tout gratuit Sans oublier les services et le petit déjeuner offert tres copieux ...de notre chambre vue directe sur le lac majeur .. À 5 mns à pied .les montagnes la verdure tout pour passer séjour heureux et même le soleil ...chambre climatisée. Vraiment nous y reviendrons....

Albergo nel complesso molto grazioso. Le camere sono confortevoli e, al loro interno, sono presenti un bollitore elettrico e una macchinetta per il caffè. Alcune camere hanno la vista sul lago. Colazione buona e con molta scelta.

Ruim mooi en luxe
Wat een mooie plek. Prachtige ruime kamer met uitzicht op het zwembad en de tuin ernaast. Mooie moderne badkamer met regen douche. Prima ontbijt miste wel wat variatie in brood maar verder uitgebreid. Mooi zwembad we hadden het prive met fijne ligbedden en een pingpong tafel.

Das Hotel war sicher mal eine Perle, aber ist jetzt leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer sind sauber aber das Bett etwas unbequem. Der Blick vom Balkon auf den See ist grandios, das Frühstück war gut und der Pool super. Parken konnte man direkt vor dem Hotel. Mit einer anderen Sprache ist es in Italien allgemein etwas schwierig, aber die Dame hat sich bemüht mit etwas englisch und deutsch. Mehr als es viele andere getan haben. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel zum übernachten.

Charmant petit hôtel au Lac Majeur
Accueil cordial (mais attention, la gérante ne parle ni français, ni anglais). Chambre correcte, qu'on a pu choisir. On a préféré la grande terrasse avec vue sur le lac à une chambre plus spacieuse mais moins bien située pour la vue. De ce fait, on a pu prendre l'apéritif en admirant le lac, à l'abri du vent. La demeure est bien entretenue. Nous n'avons pas testé la piscine, l'eau étant encore un peu fraîche en cette saison. Très bon petit-déjeuner (sucré et salé).
