Cozy Bed & Breakfast on a hill above Stresa, ItalyPosted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: The location is a little removed from the city, which can be noisy sometimes, and the atmosphere cozy. The host is especially helpful and friendly.
Location: The Lago Maggiore location is great, and there is no shortage of things to do. We simply reveled in the views of the lake, islands, and mountains.
We (a mature couple) stayed at this B&B for 3 nights. The B&B is located on a hill above Stresa - a 10 minute drive up a winding road, or a half hour hike on fairly steep stairs/paths. The view of the lake and surrounding area, standing on our private balcony, was spectacular. The room was very quiet. Our room was on the top floor, and the ceiling was sloped over part of the space. This made for a very attractive architectural effect, but also required some care when moving in that part of the room. The continental breakfast was good. The host, Massimo, is very friendly, and helpful, and speaks good English. He lent us wine glasses and a corkscrew for the duration of our stay, helped with planning exploration of what the Lago Maggiore area has to offer, and recommended local restaurants that we would not have discovered on our own, and which we really enjoyed.

You get what you pay for !Posted Jun 9, 2013
This is a B & B.....The owner is extraordinarily nice...and cordial....When you are able to find it you have to get the attention of the owner to have him open the gate to the facility...Parking is available but limited...Our room was in a basement and the bath was not in the room but was off a common area adjacent to two bed rooms...We did have our own bath room though but the shower was a hand-held wan that you must use sitting in the tub.. There was an extremely limited view of the lake if you go outside to the patio... Breakfast was reasonably good if you do like breads and cakes...and all were fresh...and presented well...This is truly one of the deals that you get what you pay for...

Wonderful hospitality in a great locationPosted May 15, 2013
We had a wonderful welcome from a very hospitable host Massimo who looked after us with great care and personal attention. The breakfast was freshly prepared by him and he gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat out and visit - nothing was too much trouble. A delightful place to stay for our 4 days at lake Maggiore and great value.

Very accommodatingPosted Apr 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good. We were very late because of a snow storm and fog but the proprietor was very welcoming. The place was charming and even though we were the only guests there was no reduction in hospitality. Would love to go there again when we can.
Wonderful, if you have a carPosted Oct 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
Johnnie, the owner, is very welcoming. The place is set above Stresa with a beautiful view of the lake. Beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood with lots of gardens. Without a car this place was a little difficult. You can walk down to Stressa through a variety of steps and alleys and that was really kind of fun, but I would not want to have to walk up the hill. Cab fare is about 12 Euros.
