NEWLY REMODELED

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: EVERYTHING!!!
Cons: Perhaps a bellman to help unload bags and bring to your room. Also, could use a sign on the road to tell you where to turn.
Location: Right off of I-20, resurants on both side of the highway.
My wife and I came for my Aunt's funeral in Shiloam GA, near Greensboro, Ga, we looked at hotels in Covington and Conyers. Although the website kept referring this to Wyngate, it was by far more than I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The pictures of the rooms were identical. We had a King bed, with a sofa sleeper. I'm a large man, so all the added room was superb. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. My wife needs a firm bed for her back and this bed was perfect, with just the right amount of softness for me. Breakfast was excellent and the pool was awesome.

Masters week stay

Posted Apr 11, 2015 on Hotels
Was there during Masters week. The staff was wonderful. The hotel is in a transition to another chain. The first floor was under construction but didn't cause any issues. The only major complaint I have is that the towels were the worst I have ever seen. They were small and had seen better days. Breakfast every morning was the same. It was good but it was the same thing every day. Change it up some and offer bacon instead of sausage one day

Website did not address undergoing renovation

Posted Mar 26, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was under renovation when we got there. First floor was being redone, lots of dust, etc. associated with construction work. Amenities were impacted by this. The hot tub area shown on the website was non existent due to renovation. Also, continental breakfast was a brown bag type. Hotel was bought out by Holiday Inn.

Not what I expected

Posted Feb 16, 2015 on Hotels
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was being remodeled and this wasn't mentioned when I booked the room. We did not have access to the gym which I expected to have the use of. The continental breakfast was lacking and left a lot to be desired. We had breakfast at a nearby restaurant. I have absolutely had better in house continental breakfast at Holiday Inn Express.

Hotel was under renovation. Beds were worn out and very old. Breakfast wasn't even breakfast, just some waffle mix and pastries, not even any coffee or orange juice

Not Happy - Never Again

Posted Feb 2, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is under a major renovation and should be disclosed to anyone booking it. The lobby itself is nice but to get to the elevator, you have to go through a construction zone. There is sheetrock plaster and dust everywhere. The ceiling has tape and plastic on it. The carpets have paper runners taped to them. Due to the renovation, the amenities are not functional! My room was at the end of the hallway next to a storage room. I called and asked for another room and was told there were not any more available, even though I counted maybe 3 cars in the parking area. The next morning, the housekeeper walked in my room as I was getting dressed! She did not knock or anything, just walked in and didn't apologize but said "I will come back later". I understand you may want to see if a room is vacant, but if check out is at 11am and you are checking at 9:50am, you should knock before you just enter a guest's room. That was extremely disturbing. Along with the construction materials everywhere, dumpsters in the parking lot, there is an abandoned hotel that sits directly in front of this hotel, and hotel staff that will walk in your room unannounced, I will NOT stay here again. It is inappropriate to charge $100+ per night and have zero amenities functioning and have the parking lot looking like a construction zone.

Seriousley?

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Notify potential gusets about the fact hotel is under construction... KEEP ENTRANCE CLEAN>
Location: Many places to eat...but shape up. Many other hotels.
We came in (after a 9 hour drive) looking for this place, with no sucess. The entire otel in being sold and is under construction. The entire fron of the building is torn up and therefore looks like the place is closed. There is no lit up sign to signify this is indees even a hotel! There was not indication of this at check in.(We finally foind the sign... laying on the ground. The front entrance is covered in mess from the construction, That is crazy, as it is a saftey issue.. Luckily the lobby, and room were clean, ans staff was very friendley. The mattress was uncomfortable, also construction started at 8am so if you wanted to sleep in, too bad.A very bad stay.
