Overall good, the last night a few hundred kids showed up for a hockey tournament and the hotel was a bit on the loud side

You get what you pay for!

Pros: Great room, pool area
Cons: nothing comes to mind
Location: Close to the lake, Main Street, Olympic center, skating on the 3km lake trail. If you go to Main Street plan on walking because parking is limited
Higher end hotel in the area close to every thing in downtown Lake Placid. Free shuttle to White Face Mt. takes you from door to door. Parking at the ski hill is limited on the weekend so the shuttle is nice and convenient. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and the timber great room and pool area has amazing views as the hotel looks out over all of the downtown area. Take Highcrest Road to access the hotel as the entrance off of Main Street has a steep! incline and if it is snowy cars have difficulty getting up it - or slide down through the stop sign at the bottom hitting cars going up.

Pros: Had a great breakfast buffet, pool was nice and room was adequate.
Cons: Bathroom could use a better cleaning, there was someone else's empty bottle on floor when we checked in.
Location: Location was great we toured about town and had a good trip.
We stayed for 2 days at resort, used the pool and hot tub and enjoyed breakfast with you

Close to the mountain

Crown plaza of Lake Placid needs some serious remodeling. We stayed there few years ago and the hotel deteriorated even more since then. The pool area is not insulated so the chlorine smell is the the lobby. Pets are allowed and seem to be always by the fireplace area, so don't waste your time to get a seat there. The showers are terrible, water splashes everywhere, the bathroom mirrors are not secured on the wall, the toilets are slow to flush. $300 + taxes per night is overpriced ( we stayed for President's Day weekend). This is not a luxury hotel, more like just a plain room with a view ( if you're lucky to get one). We enjoyed the skiing at the mountain, but the hotel is not worth more than $120/ night.

Suite 260 2/13-14

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Very fancy. Loved how it had a restaurant and bar so we didn't have to go out in the cold.
Cons: Late check in- early check out. Had no time to use the pool or gym. I also have a random charge on my card of $20 and will be calling to see why.
Location: After checking out, we went shopping at all the cute little shops Lake Placid has to offer.
Was instantly upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite upon arrival!

Good location within walking distance of village.

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Good amenities. Good food.
Cons: Fix the refrigerator in room 426
Location: Location is fine for all things Laker Placid.
Being in the middle of a snowstorm, access by way of the main entry drive was not possible for us. Too steep. Had to enter from above through the development adjacent.

Great hotel with amazing location and staff!

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: The staff.
We initially got a good room with lake view in a wing which was under renovation. After one day the manager of the hotel called us to apologize for the working area and the noise around our room and he offered us an upgrade to an amazing suite. This speaks volumes about how much they care about their guests!

Nice hotel, nice location

Don't be fooled by the outdated decor. The room was spotless, and therefore comfortable. Only stayed a night, so not much else to comment on, but would definitely stay there again.
