SHORT STAYPosted Jun 13, 2014
Cons: As mentioned the rooms could perhaps be upgraded and a larger area where the continental breakfast was laid out.
Location: All the 1980 Olympic games areas to see and of course the village of Lake Placid.
We were only in Lake Placid for a 3 night stay. Visiting Stowe and Lake George on separate days. The motel room was very comfortable and there was absolutely no noise overnight. The only comment we would have is that perhaps the rooms needed a little updating. The only problem we had was that we forgot to pack our swim wear, there was a very nice indoor pool which we would have made use of.

Perfect for our needsPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great place with friendly service. Very quiet, even on the weekend. We got a room on the second floor fronting the parking lot - it's nice at the end of the day when the sun is setting to sit on the balcony. Breakfast is minimal but OK if you bring your own fruits.

Needs improvementPosted Mar 31, 2014
Booked this hotel because it said it had a pool...pool was closed until further notice. Rooms were outdated, needed improvement. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper.

It's what you'd expectPosted Mar 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The econo lodge is exactly what you'd expect. If you're looking just for a place to crash for the night and don't want to spend a fortune, this place is a safe bet. Outdated furnishings and tv, no fridge in the room but it worked. If you plan on walking into town it's about a 20 min walk into town. So location, if walking, leaves a bit to be desired.
