Too noisy at night.Posted Mar 24, 2015
It was too noisy. We couldn't sleep at all. Management was irresponsible. They should think about the noise issue seriously. Staff were great and good was very good.

Walking distance to lake and most places in town.Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: It was very comfortable and quaint.
Cons: Just a few spots on the exterior of the building need to be touched.
Location: Close to everything in downtown.
Accommodating, restaurant was nice, great drink specials, cozy fire place in main lobby.

Like being in Switzerland!Posted Mar 15, 2015
The room we stayed in at High Peak's ranks among my four favorite places to stay in the world. And I don't mean fancy the way some hotels think that will dress up your stay… This place was friendly and warm right from the first phone call I made to reserve our late arrival time. The beds were firm and soft, beneath a layer of soft bedding. The bathroom was nicer than any I've ever had in my home. The decor was warm and inviting and not like the usual generic hotel colors. We will definitely be back again and again.

Hôtel situé près de tout les services.Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Accueil chaleureux.
Nous sommes aller pour visiter les installations Olympic et nous avons été impressionné . De plus il doit aussi être très agréable d'y faire un séjour en été.

Spring Break SkiingPosted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed, quiet (except once where kids were running in the hall after pool closed), hot chocolate & chocolate-chip cookies in the afternoon.
Cons: The hot tub could be a bit warmer.
Location: Whiteface is some 10km away and easy to get to by car; also a free shuttle from just outside the hotel. Main street is accessible out the back.
The room was a bit small for 2 adults and 2 kids but the king bed was very comfortable and the kids didn't complain about the sofa-bed. Not much space left to move around with the bed out, though. Still, we managed just fine for 4 days this way.

Nice hotelPosted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: staff is very nice!
Cons: door to restroom should NOT be transparent, try vacuuming rooms daily, clothes dryers would help people after day of skiiing.
Location: ski/snowboard Whiteface mountain
Nice hotel in the middle of the town. Very convenient. Very courteous staff. There's hot tub - very helpful after skiing.

Weekend getawayPosted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The hotel, comfortable, the Dancing Bear restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The only improvement that we would make is a quirky bathroom door and closet in the room .The bathroom door was a slider and wouldn't lock.
Location: Dog sledding on Mirror Lake, local shops and restaurants were a delight and all within walking distance, ice skating, cross country skiing all could be
First class Hotel with all the amenities . Girlfriend and I went to Lake Placid for a winter weekend getaway, stayed at High Peaks Resort Hotel. We were extremely happy with the location of the Hotel....Overlooks Mirror Lake. Sheltered parking was great, parked the car and didn't move it again until we checked out Sunday for the ride home. Walked all over the village of Lake Placid , visiting shops and restaurants, and various sights on Mirror Lake, Dog sled run, toboggan run.....we had a BLAST !
