although my daughter and I only stayed one night, everyone was very nice, they let us into the room sooner and we were very grateful, as we were very tired . The room was very clean, and elegant. and we loved the fact that the restaurant was right there, and the food was excellent. Thankyou.

Great hotel if you aren't into being spoiled and there to do your own thing! This hotel is very cool and we loved the style! The lobby/sitting area was very cozy, we spent some time in there in front of the fire playing with the provided board games. There is a pool and hot tub, which we didn't use. Although it didn't look like it was well maintained anyways. The 'rec room' was a big room with 1 air hockey table in, so there isn't much to do at the hotel. There is a gym, but it is located directly across the street in the mother hotel, High Peaks Resort, which isn't a huge deal. The only con I have about this hotel, one night we wanted to go to the lobby, have a drink from the bar and play a board game before going back out. However, the door was closed and locked to gain access and it said "Private Party". So we were not able to get a drink from the bar or use to lobby (which is the only source of anything to eat/drink at the hotel, you have to go over to the mother hotel for something to eat - which again, is a 10 second walk, so not a big deal). There is also very limited staff at Lake House, nobody was there when we wanted to check out, so we just called HPR to let them know we were leaving. Don't offer all the same services as bigger hotels, but you still have access to all of those things close by! Grocery store 5 minutes up the road with a mini fridge in room, although there is no microwave to have anything hot. Over all, great hotel and will stay again!

Affordable and clean. Advertisement was a bit misleading with respect "walking distance from the Olympic Center." This was the main reason I picked this hotel. I suppose it could be "walking distance" in the summer, but definitely not in the winter which is when we were visiting. Hazarding a very busy road with limited sidewalks, it would have been at least a 20-25 minute walk to the Olympic Center.

We stayed 4 nights. The staff was so friendly we bought them a homemade pie from a diner we'd had lunch at. The pie was fantastic and we felt compelled to share with the wonderful staff! The indoor pool was amazing, we were in it every night! Walking distance from restaurants and shopping!!!
