Always pleasant, always comfortablePosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: Location and view.
Cons: It ages gracefully but a little oil of the doors will slow squeaking
Location: Located in the centre of Lake Placid, a stone's throw to all it offers in food, entertainment and leisure
As a frequent guest I reiterate that the hotel is pleasant, comfortable, well located, it has impressive views of Mirror Lake and it is surrounded by all of the amenities of Main Av. Lake Placid. It is pet-friendly, wifi connected, and suits the needs of families or couples alike.

Best location and view in townPosted Nov 11, 2013
This is my 20th visit to the hotel . I like the Adirondacks and Lake Placid in particular. The hotel is located at the end of Main Avenue but the beginning of all restaurant, bar, shopping and entertainment the place offers. It has a phenomenal view, it is clean, it is safe, the rooms offer good comfort, the resort has impressive amenities, rooms service, complimentary wifi and parking , and the staff is professional and very pleasant. The lobby is inviting and the rest if the recipe you crate yourself. It is family friendly , unpretentious , and it provides for a comfortable stay.

Welcoming, well located, safe, clean and validPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: The easiness and unpretentiousness that allows all guests to feel home while being serviced. True to the Adirondack's surroundings.
Cons: Make adults responsible for all under age Junior Hockey teams lodging frequently at the hotel to avoid unnecessary disturbances
Location: Located at the end of Main Road, the centre of all action in Lake Placid. That is basically, in the best location possible, in front of Mirror Lake
A welcoming, well located, safe, clean and unpretentious hotel with a great view over Mirror Lake and accessibility to a myriad of services provided at any of the sister properties of High Peaks Resort. From complimentary wifi to spa services, catering, rooms service, bar and lounges, and in-grounds pool.

Not great, but has amazing viewPosted Sep 30, 2013
The frig had "left overs" from previous guests and both coffee cups were used. However, great views of lake placid and great location from the main strip.

The location was perfect, close to everything. Room was large, clean, bright and very confortable. Too bad there was no dining facilities in-house.

At first, not cleaned at allPosted Sep 7, 2013
When we came in the first night, there was a stain on one of the bed sheets, the bottom of the shower curtain had several patches of mould and the room was poorly cleaned up. We immediately complained and someone quickly showed up to change the sheet and curtain and do a quick clean up. The next morning we talked to the manager and he was kind enough to pay for our breakfast. Despite this unpleasant experience with the room cleanness, the beds were very comfortable and the hotel is well located. Also, this hotel was chosen after seeing their pictures posted on Expedia web site. Unfortunately, these pictures show the newest part of the hotel, located across the street. We stayed in the older part and no pictures showed that section or the rooms.

worth the $Posted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent location. Nice rooms. Beautiful view. Carpet needed vacuuming, dusty corners. Complimentary canoes, paddle &row boats. No beach. Free coffee in the lobby. Our key was demagnetized and maintenance individual was in front of our room with a new key within 5 minutes. Definately will go back.

The staff was pleasant, the location was perfect, amenities were great. The Lakeview property itself was old, rundown, and smelled badly in the common areas. The room was clean, spacious, nice view. The furniture and decor were dated but in good condition. Overall, it was a positive experience and we would consider staying there again.

Lake view Motor InnPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall the accommodation has been great since Lake Motor Inn has full access to High Peak resort facilities such as the 3 pools (1 indoor and 2 outdoors). High peak resort owns Lake motor Inn. The room we stayed had a queen bed and a comfortable room size for my two kids and my wife. the room is also clean and had a great view of the Mirror lake. Now for the things I did not like were that the air-conditioned, it is pretty much outdated and can't really cool down the rooms temperature. It looked like needed servicing. The bathroom is also a little outdated. Our stay also did not include breakfast. However with the price we paid, I think it is reasonable.
