Bad experience

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Have someone available
Location:
The hotel was closed. And no one was there to open the door. I had to drive home at midnight

Not too bad for the price

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Cheap!
Cons: Cleanliness. Breakfast.
This is a very basic motel. 'Breakfast' was individually packaged Danishes (not fresh), bad coffee, fresh bananas and apples (good), orange juice (good). So not really what I'd call an actual breakfast. When I arrived the towel in my bathroom had a long black hair on it (yuck). The man at reception was very helpful however and was very straight up about how bad the coffee was and recommended some places for us to go and eat which was fantastic. He was very knowledgable about the area.

Ample parking space. Good location. Tidy room. Good enough for 1 day and 1 night stay.

Great for the price

Loved it! Right in the heart of things so I don't have to drive anywhere. Only thing is there was no mini fridge. That didn't matter since it was snowing outside... we just left our perishable food in the snow and ate it the next morning. They should put mini fridges in the rooms though.

Ok to just sleep in; were out all the time anyway.

Stayed here for a ski trip, so we spent little time in the room. It was clean, but no bigger than it had to be. Breakfast was coffee, apples or bananas and some plastic wrapped pastries. ok, but not what I'd call a continental breakfast. Hot tub was nice, and sitting in it, watching the sun set over the lake was good.

First Time in Tahoe

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Was there for a business trip. My lovely wife was in agreement with me that I should stay on an extra 3 nights so I could snowboard at Tahoe. I never have been in Tahoe, and it was a great experience. America's Best Value Inn is conveniently located. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff courteous.

Conveniant stay for north Tahoe ski resorts

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Convenient: Close to ski resort (especially close to Alpine Meadows (15 minutes) and Squaw Valley (20 minutes). Clean enough. Nothing fancy, but efficient, clean, and very nice hotel staff. Expensive for what it is but still among the less expensive ones for this range of quality (more specifically: among the cheapest when it comes to find an hotel with decent cleanliness...)

Stayed for skiing

The reception staff was excellent. Room was clean enough for the price. They provide very simple breakfast. Discount card for nearby restaurant was a good bonus.

Pros: Proximity to lake and restaurants
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Good Biking trail to Olympic valley and near to Homewood Ski resort.
Best thing about this hotel is the proximity various restaurants. Very limited options for Breakfast (Fruits and Orange juice) and not the advertised continental Breakfast. Rooms are not very clean. Pool is currently closed.
