Not Satisfied

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The only good thing was the waffles the front desk woman made us.
Cons: Replace all sheets and towels!
For such a nice place, being Lake Tahoe, this hotel had terrible rooms. The sheets for stained and worn. The towels were stained and falling apart, although they did smell of disinfectant, so I think they were clean.

Worked for me

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Fridge was great. While breakfast was cramped in small office lobby, it was suitable for me. Room was spacious. Lots of TV channels
Cons: They didn't refresh the toilet paper/soap as I would have hoped. Pool was out of order. Toilet didn't flush unless lever held down for duration.Bugs
Location: Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants. Lady at front desk was very nice.
This stay met most of my needs. Con: The flys/ants in the bathroom were a little displeasing and I wish the maid service would have provided more soap and toilet paper. The door lock seemed a little flimsy and with an early checkout I wasnt exactly comfortable leaving the key in the room with the door unlocked. Lighting could have been better. The room was spacious and had a nice fridge and microwave. Lots of good channels on the TV. The bed worked for me.

AWFUL AVIVA

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Microwave popped popcorn just fine.
Cons: Remodel and update the bathroom, buy new beds, bleach the towels, buy new tv's. It is time to do a major renovation on this place!
Location: The lake is right across the street. Safeway right across the street. Skiing and snowboarding nearby.
Upon arrival we were instructed to park squarely in front of our room (Room 10) because "angle in" parking only allows one person to park. No parking for us. I wonder now why clerk was so adamant about parking with us but did not direct her frustration to Room 11 customers who had already checked in and sure enough parked a long pickup truck at an angle so we parked in the overflow area in front of the pool. Bad start. The room colors were very dark for such a small room making it difficult to see what was being hidden in the dim light. Two long sheets of paper hanging from ceiling to floor on wall next to closet, odd we thought. Impossible to access small closet. Extremely outdated dresser, with outdated TV. Could get rid of outdated furnishings and mount a flat screen where useless mirror was on wall. Microwave worked fine. Frig hummed loudly all night. The best for last (or not). The shower in the bathroom dripped approximately 1 gallon an hour at least (horrendous in this drought year). If the shower curtain was "just so" the dripping splashed out of the shower stall and onto the bathroom floor. Towels needed to be bleached. the beds 2 queens) were sagging and squeaky. Time to do some serious updating and repair. For this resort area there shouldn't be any hotels a shoddy as this one.

Great hotel for price

Posted Jun 30, 2014
We were greeted by a friendly front desk manager Rika who took care of us the entire time we were there. Room was clean and she even upgraded us; the only thing we did not enjoy were our loud neighbors who finally quieted down around 11pm. Breakfast was simple yet filling.

Horrible Sleep

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Rika was pleasant.
Cons: See above. And a lot more.
Horrible mattresses and pillows. They must be over 25 years old and purchased used. Did not sleep for three days.

Good location and good waffles.

Posted Jun 20, 2014
This cosmetically updated motor lodge is right across the street from the lake and in the heart of Tahoe City. We loved walking along the lakeside path to dinner, and the staff made (to order) fresh Belgian waffles to expand the continental breakfast offerings in the morning. We were all pleasantly surprised with our stay. It's a real deal for the price.

Management was exceptional!

Posted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although the room was a bit small it had everything we needed. The location was ideal. Management went out of their way to accommodate us and they were wonderful!
