“Great location, great price”

Less than a block away from heavenly, the casinos, shopping, and only a couple blocks from the lake. The hotel was a lot better than I was expecting with a small fridge, microwave, basic continental breakfast, and friendly employees. If you are looking for luxury this isn't the place, but great deal for the price!

Great place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised. They had a microwave and refrigerator in the room which was very useful especially since we were traveling with a toddler. The room was clean and the hotel was just a couple of blocks away from Heavenly and the casinos. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Tahoe.

Sensational location. Right next to the casinos, shops and the Heavenly lift. Quiet off the main street location. AMAZING price for this location. Will be back next year at the same hotel.

“Convenient Location”

The Big Pines was extremely convenient! It was within easy walking distance of the casinoes, shopping areas, restaurants, and gondola for Heavenly. The rooms were clean, well maintained and were of adequate comfort. For someone who doesn't require five star service and amenities, Big Pines Mountain House is more than adequate and is very favorably priced. I won't hesitate to stay there again!

“Great for the money!”

We had a group of 7 people staying in 3 rooms and we were all overall very happy with this motel. My only complaint would be that the walls are PAPER thin so in the morning when your neighbors are microwaving their breakfast and slamming the door while talking at normal voice level, you will probably be woken up... Other than that, we were able to walk to the casinos in less than 5 minutes (but when it is 14 degrees out, the walk seems WAY longer!!) The staff was very nice and any questions we had, they always accomadated us.

“Comfortable and close to Casinos and Lake”

The staff was great; They were all very nice and friendly. Breakfast/fresh donuts/orange juice,etc. was available for the guests every morning. They baked fresh cookies daily :) The Inn was located 2block away from the casinos and 3blocks from the lake/Lakeside Marina. It was comfortable, clean and close to the local attractions. It's a great little place for the price. I would stay here again.
