Good value for your money.

This is a very nice facility with a lot of attention to detail by a very competent, friendly staff. The price was very good for such well kept rooms. Our only complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear noise from the other rooms but this is not unusual for an older facility. Next time we visit South Lake Tahoe, we'll stay here.

For what it was, a place to sleep it was ok.

Location: The location was good
They offer breakfast but crowd the guests into this small area and let them push and shove to get to the food. No order no controls just madness in the food line.

Okay hotel for one night...
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: This walls, Breakfast, Reluctance in taking any feedback
Location: A+ for the location
This hotel is just okay just for a night. Very close to the Heavenly Gondola and just off the main road. But the walls are made with toothpicks and the walls are very thin. You can almost hear somebody snoring in the next room. We took two rooms for one night. One room did not have hot water running and the tap was broken. When we reported it at the time of check out they did not seem to be intersted in any of the feedbacks and complaints. The only answer was "Okay, we'll let them know" with an expressionless and least bothered face. Continental breakfast was a BIG JOKE !!!! Toilets have advisory written all over the walls asking people to not take away any item from the hotel or they'll charge the credit card. Felt kinda cheap to see these warnings straight on the face. Who's going to take away toiletries and towels from them??? honestly ????

Great Price and Location
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: The rooms and location
Cons: the airconditioner made noises all night, but, for me, it was easy to deal with.
Location: Your big casinos are walking distance, same with heavenly and Lake Tahoe. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel right in stateline, this is it.
Walking distance to the big casinos, great price and clean nice rooms. You will be shocked, for the price, how great they are. The staff is very nice and accomodating. We will stay here again.

Possibly the WORST PLACE I've ever stayed
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: The girl at the front desk did a good job serving breakfast and making sure that there was always fresh coffee.
Cons: The place needs to be bull-dozed and re-built with all new plumbing, fixutres and furnishings and COMFORTABLE BEDS. And I am not exaggerating
Location: Location was fine. A stone's throw from the Nevada border, so if gambling is your thing, you have easy access to that.
Not only was the place run down and practically falling in, but something is terribly wrong with the plumbing and something that I discerned was plumbing-related made noise all night and kept waking me up (I even heard it through my ear plugs). The toilet in our room #136 was not properly attached to the floor so every time I got off the pot, it would tilt backwards and hit the wall. The shower was on ultra-water-saver mode and even at that, the tub backed up about two minutes into the shower. The floor was not even and literally felt like it was about to cave in in some spots. In addition, the doors were not square, the paint was not professionally done, the decorations were horrible, the towels smelled like mildew, the lighting was dim beyond what is reasonable and the bed was not even comfortable. I only wish that I had taken pictures of this place to illustrate all of this. Seriously, if you're going to own a hotel and want people to stay there, at least make it reasonably nice and comfortable. I shouldn't feel like I'm in my grandma's farmhouse from the 1800s. Sheesh!

good for quick trip
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: location was good
Cons: thin walls
Location: good location walking distance to casinos and beach
It was just ok, walls very thin you could hear everything. No black out curtains just blinds so room wasn't very dark at night because lights right outside of door. But it was very close to casinos and beach and if you just wanted an affordable room for a couple nights it was good enough.

Pros: Wallpaper in the bathroom was quite amusing!
Cons: Breakfast. Only cereal was museli.
Location: Not a bad location, just off 50, quite close to large casino hotels and lake.
Having read a few other reviews I thought I would give this hotel a try on a recent road trip. For the price it wasn't too bad but in comparison to other similar star hotels/motels we had on route it was a little disappointing. Breakfast, although free, wasn't the greatest. The room was tired but okay for one night I guess.

Pretty good

Pros: Staff, location
Cons: Thin walls and thin brekkie!
Location: Fab, near everything, but quiet
A great place, walking distance to the shops and the beach, easy to find! The rooms were lovely and facilities great, but I have to agree with other reviews - the walls are paper thin so it's pot luck on who your neighbors are. Our first night was fine, but second night whoever was above us seemed to be pacing up and down til late and started again early in the morning which drove me bonkers as it was ridiculously loud! Staff were very helpful and friendly, Breakfast was ok, but among the most limited I've known - options were bagel, oatmeal, jam honey, OJ, milk, coffee and about 8 types of tea! Of and I think there was muesli and cottage cheese too and a bowl of raisins! So if you just need fuel then this is good! Other than that I can't really fault anything - great place for a night or 2!
