“clean and quiet - would stay again”

This place was very clean, quiet, the beds were comfortable and a short drive to restaurants. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Squaw or Northstar, it was a quick drive to both locations.

“Good Hotel.”

Nice hotel, pretty new, great location for skiers, but a 5-10 minute drive into Truckee, no restaurants in walking distance. The breakfasts were really good with a variety for all diets. The gym looked nice (didn't use it) and the hot tub was great after a day of skiing!

“Nice hotel, Very Convenient to Skiing and Shopping”

We stayed here while visiting Truckee and skiing in Northstar. It's a very clean, well maintained hotel. The interior design is nice with a mountain lodge feel. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel for free. The staff was friendly and courteous. A man took the time to hold the door open for us while we were loading in our stuff, even though he was in the midst of shoveling snow. Our two small kids (under 5) liked the hotel, though we spent most of our time on the slopes which was about a 10 minute drive.

I would recommend this hotel for any family or business traveler who wants a clean, comfortable and new hotel.

“Recommended for N. Tahoe Stay”

Hotel is latest addition to much needed travel accommodations in the North Tahoe/Truckee area. Room was clean and quiet. HVAC worked great and was also able to open the window for fresh air. Complimentary breakfast was good. Must drive approximately 5-10 minutes into Truckee for all other meals.

“Hidden winter wonderland.”

I had a bit of hard time finding the hotel but once I got there the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The place was very clean. I have been to many hotels and lodges in Tahoe and I have say that this was one of the best. It was better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. If you are going to ski at Northstar give this hotel a try. You won't regret it.

“Pleasantly surprised”

It was only 20 minutes away from the Truckee River put in and although it looked far on the map, it was quite close and comfortable. The breakfast was substaintial and included eggs, juice, and fruit, not just pastries and coffee. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The lobby had an arts and crafts decor with a big fire place so it was relaxing. They even had games for the kids.

“Best Of Its Class”

Great hotel for the Truckee area. The best of its class and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is slightly further away from Truckee but it was ideal for travel in a series of different directions.

“This seemed like a fairly new hotel”

We only stayed one night and we will probably go back if we're in the area again. The lobby area was open with a fireplace, comfy chairs, & tables for families to play games. The continental breakfast served more than just pastries with some hot dishes. It was Easter morning and someone from the hotel hid a chocolate egg for my son to find. The room was comfy and large enough for all of us not to feel cramped. The pillows were firm, better for a side sleeper than a back sleeper. It is about 2 miles from town, so a short drive away. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, so views were iffy, but it could be that it was soggy and leaves were still off the trees, spring had not really arrived, maybe it's different in the summer.

Beautiful location! The breakfast is especially appreciated, and the staff were all knowledgeable and enthusiastic about local places to check out. A great experience.
