“Tony”
The staff were very courteous and helpful. The hotel was very comfortable. The room was very clean and well maintained. The complementary breakfast was excellent. I will stay there again.
“Perfect Location”
This Hampton Inn is right where you want to be! It's a great hotel, friendly staff, clean. Cute rustic details too. Easy to get to & close to all North Lake Tahoe.
“Great Hotel, We will be back!”
I always prefer to stay at the Hampton since I travel with twins and always know room and hotel setup. We checked in late and our portable cribs were set up waiting to put two sleeping babies in. Breakfast was nice and the ladies were so helpful we didn't worry about clean highchairs or tables. The staff was amazing, polite, helpful and courteous. We asked for a late check out so that we could get that afternoon nap in and it was no problem. This is a great hotel for families but also adults. We will be staying there again.
“Good Truckee Option for Tahoe Skiing”
We've stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites for the past four years. It's an excellent location for skiing at Northstar, Sugar Bowl, Squaw, and other North Tahoe resorts. The decor is nice for a mid-priced chain hotel (kind of a woodsy Mission style), the maintenance is good, and the front desk manager and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They serve a pretty substantial breakfast -- more than the usual jelly donuts and toast, as I recall -- though we always opt for Jax by the Tracks diner in town. There's also a small workout room, pool, and hot tub.
“Hidden winter wonderland.”
I had a bit of hard time finding the hotel but once I got there the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The place was very clean. I have been to many hotels and lodges in Tahoe and I have say that this was one of the best. It was better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. If you are going to ski at Northstar give this hotel a try. You won't regret it.
“convenient and clean”
--our bed was not very comfortable. --please try to reduce trash at the breakfast. too much plastic and styrofoam! --also, if you could serve scrambled eggs with sausage on the side, then vegetarians could have eggs. as served, we could not.
“Cozy and great location away from business”
We enjoyed the relaxed atmospher of the Hampton. The location was very close to Truckee and North Star. Hampton staff was exceptionally helpful and we had a great stay. Breakfast was a good variety and the endless coco.coffee was great. You do hear noise from other rooms but overall it's a great stay.
“Room was ok, not happy with front desk service”
The room itself and location of the hotel were fine. We arrived late at night. We had called in a few hours earlier to confirm our room and request for a crib. The front desk confired that everything was set. The crib was not in the room, and the front desk clerk said to give him 20 mins to dig one out because he was the only one working the front desk. We weren't too happy with his level of courtesy.
“Turn up the boiler!”
Fantastic hotel. One downside, and it's kind of a big one for a hotel in ski country... the hot water was terrible! Cranked all the way to the hottest setting, and it was tepid at best. Otherwise, fantastic stay. Comfortable, clean, quiet.
“Very Nice Hotel, the staff was outstanding!”
Nice breakfast, clean room, nice hotel!
