Good location, older rooms

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: Location
Charge a resort fee but they don't have a nice pool area or a resort feel. Bed was very unconfortable.

Our suite had 2 separate full bathrooms, so great.

Pros: The central location to other local activities.
Cons: No smoking indoors.
Location: The Hotel sits in the heart of Stateline, South Lake Tahoe. It doesn't need explanation.
From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the Hotel Staff was amazingly accommodating. Not hovering, but there to assist at every step when needed. Loved the entire experience. The Staff was well informed and eager to offer suggestions in connection with our needs. AWESOME.

Hotel Room

Posted Sep 8, 2014
I paid a high price for a holiday weekend $389 and was put in a room that had the elevators on the other side of the wall. All we heard all night was rolling elevators. I was not informed about this during check in.

Eagles Concert

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Spacious room with 2 bathrooms. Proximity to area attractions.
Cons: Needs updated bright lunch (not buffet). Amenities in the rooms.
Location: Concert series across the street at Harveys; gondola within walking distance; restaurants and bars nearby, hiking and beach nearby.
I was happy with the ease of check in and the efficiency of staff. Valet parking was easy and fast. The entire town was busy due to the Labor Day weekend and the sold out concert across the street. I loved the room. It is a bit outdated, but it is classy, clean and very roomy. The room was large, the two complete bathrooms were decadent, and appreciated! Obviously missing was a coffee maker and a fridge. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned until after 3 PM. We were on the 5th floor and a higher floor would have had a better view.

Cons: It's difficult to walk through the hotel without choking on the smoke in the casino area.
Location: Anderson's bike rental was awesome. Stand up paddle boarding on the lake was a fun experience.
The room was great and the staff at the desk were helpful.

Hotel & Casino

Pros: Standard king room has 2 separate bathrooms...awesome!
Despite a very crowded Labor Day weekend, we were able to get a room with a reasonable rate. Hotel staff were awesome in helping us find a dinner reservation.

Loved the hotel with one exception.

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Bell, Valet, cleaning, bar and front desk staff excellent.
Cons: Train the American River personnel in customer service.
Location: Edgewood Tahoe golf course an excellent track. Gondola ride to top of mountain within walking distance, spectacular views of the lake and mountains.
Loved Harrah's Tahoe with one exception listed below. Valet and bell staff were all wonderful guys, friendly and eager to please. Check in was quick and easy. Great room with two baths. Less than half a mile from Edgewood Tahoe golf course. Only problem was with the restaurant in the basement, American River Café. Sat down and ordered drinks, glass of wine and a beer. Waitress left and ten minutes later a different waitress came and asked for our drink order. We stated we already gave it to another waitress and she said, "We all work together". The second waitress also took our food order. About fifteen minutes later and still no drinks so we stopped a third waitress and asked about our drink order. This third waitress nastily replied, "I'll tell your server". The huffy, nasty attitude of the third waitress caused us to walk out of the place. I'm 68 years old and I've never walked out of a restaurant before in my life. Ate at different places in this complex with no problems.

First class hotel experience

Posted Aug 18, 2014
We were pleasantly surprised at just how good our Harrah's visit was! The room was especially big, with two toilets and two showers. It was called a luxury room, but we didn't expect those amenities. Hotel has a great pool area: included a grassy area and a very nice pool and jacuzzi spa...kind of an indoor/outdoor experience. The room was very convenient to the concert that we attended. We sampled drinks and food at both Friday's Station (Harrah's) and 19 Kitchen (Harvey's) and enjoyed both experiences. We made plans to visit in a few weeks for a great Eagles concert.

Nice hotel in the heart of Tahoe

Posted Aug 13, 2014
It was a beautiful room with two spacious bathrooms a king bed and a beautiful view. When I asked for a room with a view the front desk has no problem accommodating. It is a short walk to the other casinos and a quick drive to the beach. Loved our stay.
