Stay at Harvey's

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: View from the room.
Cons: Updated of the room furniture and bathroom shower area and better cleaning of the carpets.
Location: Close proximity to the lake area. Didn't leave the hotel due to late arrival but it also has a connection to Harrah's which had a nicer casino area.
Hotel is very dated. Room was not clean including nail clippings on the rug. Shower area was also very old. Furniture was worn with a number of scratches to wood surfaces. On a positive note it had a nice view of the mountains nearby.

We forgot a cell phone when we checked out and not only did you find it, but you mailed it back to us at no cost and even turned the battery off for us. High marks all around on service and the room was great with a great view of the lake. Thanks! Pat Shutt

Fire Alarm

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Proximity to my cycling event
Cons: Don't fire off the fire alarm until you've verified there's actually a fire and there's something to do. Don't just tell us you're investigating it.
Location: One of the greatest places in the world Lake Tahoe!
Everything was ok except for the 3am fire alarm going off. Overall the room was decent.

Nice place to stay

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Convenience and cleanliness.
Location: Center of town. Close to shopping, restaurants and casino.
We stayed 2 nights at Harvey's. The room was clean and pleasing to the eye. It is located in the center of town where all the action is. It is connected to Harrah's by an underground tunnel so you don't have to cross the street. The staff were friendly and there to help. I would definitely stay there again.

Hall felt like cruise ship

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Nice to have a Starbucks in the hotel right beside check-in.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It's a casino hotel. There are lots of activities in the south end of Lake Tahoe, great restaurants and the like and things are open late.
This was a fine hotel. Parking was very handy in closed garage and valet or self-parking is free. When we stepped out of the elevator on the 10th floor to see our room my wife said 'Hey, this is just like those mile long halls on a cruise ship'. This remark is not a negative comment, just an observation that it's a big hotel with lots and lots of guests. Nice to have a Starbucks in the hotel right beside check-in.

Not worth it...

Posted Sep 2, 2014
This experience was quite awful, first of all I had reserved a room with a king size bed and then we went to check in, at 4:30 and check in is at 4, they told us they didn't have any more king rooms and we'd have to take 2 queen beds. When we showed we were clearly upset by it they did absolutely nothing to try and make our experience better, the check in guy, Jorge was just plain rude. The room was okay but the walls are paper thin and we had no choice but to listen to the loud music and yelling from our neighbors. The rest of the staff looked miserable being there. Wasn't what I was hoping for considering I paid $200 for one night. Horrible experience, I would never give them my business again....

Bad Experience

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Phenomenal food and service at the Sage Restaurant - highly recommended
Cons: Ventilation in the casino. Will never return to this hotel.
Location: Gondola ride to the top of the mountain highly recommended.
We booked two "luxury" rooms. One room overlooked a parking lot, and the other faced a wall. They need to fix the ventilation in the casino. Way way too smoky.
