“A fine hotel for an overnight stay”

This hotel was priced well, and located right next to Harvey's at the state line. it was a nice little place, but was very loud considering the outdoor venue at Harvey's that emanated well into the night. The one inconvenience I noticed was that the continental breakfast was supposed to be at 8 AM, and the sign inside indicated the same. the next morning at 8 AM when I went to retrieve some continental breakfast for myself and my girlfriend, I found a locked door, a closed sign, and a small a piece of paper stating the continental breakfast would be at 9 AM. not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.

“Lake Tahoe”

The internet connection was disaster. There was no breakfast, and there is a lot of noise from the other rooms from the second floor.

“Good enough for short stay”

The staff at the front desk was great, upgraded our room with no charge (since not many people were there). Old pipes, so they banged all night. Couldn't adjust the thermostat but the room was clean and cleaned each day we were there. Will be going back to Tahoe in Feb, but not staying at the Ambassador.

“Not safe”

We were there on business. Hotel turns off all lights on exterior on bldg. during the night. So when we left each morning at 6am, it was pitch black. NO LIGHTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BLDG, PARKING LOT OR MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE STAIR WELLS. We had to feel our way down the stairs. Don't know why the haven't had a law suit yet, but it will happen!

“Decent place to stay for the price”

Decent place for the price. Room has no air, needs upgrade on central ac. The toilet seat kept falling down, I informed the front desk the day we left and they said ok, hopefully they will fix it or change it. I asked front desk what attractions were close by, she didn't know? How can you expect anyone to stay there if you can't give directions or be informed of events or nearby attractions. Continental breakfast never started at 8 like they stated in writing. We had to go to other restaurants to eat breakfast. Other people were complaining.

“Tahoe ski trip Feb 2012.”

The bad news: The cleaning staff forgot to clean my room the first night. The bed was like sleeping on a wire cage- the mattress was way, way cheap. The stairs and balcony needed shoveling. The good news: There was plenty of parking and the lot was well lit. The motel is close to the casinos and the Heavenly Valley gondola lift. The water pressure was fantastic and there was plenty of hot water. The price was fairly reasonable for what you get.
