Excellent option for a family trip

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Great experience staying at the hotel. They have free valet service which allows you to unload your car/van by the reception rather than park at a distant spot and walk back with tired kids and bags. The staff was friendly and had the paperwork ready. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. I did have to call the front desk for extra towels - we had booked for 4 people and they only had 2 towels. They were sent to the room in 5 mts. Marina is right behind the hotel, Gondala rides are a short distance away and it is surrounded by good places to eat.

Sooo avergae

Hotel clean, room clean, towels great. Room quiet. Staff very annoying. Always shoving their welcome package down your throat every time you walk in the front enterance. And when it's time to check out.... They call your room at 9:59 saying the maid is waiting outside the room and you must go. So rude too! Now on to the parking...there is room for only 1/2 the people staying there to park on property. IF you get a spot, do not move your car!!! You can valet, but kids doing valet only look to be 16.

4th of July in Tahoe

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: It was very comfortable. The staff was excellent and very attentive. The Bloody Marys are fantastic!
Cons: The stairs were dirty. Our room seemed clean and then I found a pill on the floor, not good.
Location: Fantastic location right next to the beach and within walking distance to the casinos.
The room was great. We had 4 adults in a 1 bedroom unit, and the pull out couch was a Temperpedic and extremely comfortable. The hotel has an indoor/outdoor pool, and many things for the kids to do. It is right next to a great beach on lake Tahoe where you can rent kayaks, jet skis and paddleboards.

It has potential

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: beautiful hotle near the lake
Cons: fix the fire alarm / have the hotel restaurant or snack shop stay open later.
Location: lots to due at the lake by the hotel
Nice Hotel ... very friendly staff ... we love Lisa at the front desk ...BUT, no food available in hotel after 10:00 pm... fire alarm went off at 1:30 AM (false alarm) for one hour / had to leave room due to ear hurting volume. The issue of no food and fire alarm ruined our stay here

Crowded, unorganized, annoying sales pitches

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Rooms were clean
Cons: More organized and timely valet, have rooms ready for check in at a reasonable hour, and take it down a notch with the sales pitches
Location: There are nearby boat rentals. It's about a 1 mile walk to the casinos and shops at the state line.
Arriving was a mess. The valet is overcrowded, understaffed, and unorganized. Once we got to the reception we were told our room wasn't ready yet. I usually would find this understandable, but not when it's after 3:00 PM...and especially not when the hotel has a 10:00 AM check out policy. We had to wait about an hour for the room, and decided to explore the area around the hotel, so we talked to the concierge. Unfortunately this resort is part of Diamond Resorts, so the concierge is much more interested in giving you a sales pitch about Diamond Resorts than just giving you information about activities in the area. And when you say you're not interested, they keep right on selling...very annoying, and not a great way to start your stay. And since we wanted to explore the area we needed to leave our bags with the valet/bellhop. As I said they are overcrowded, understaffed, and unorganized, so it took about 20 minutes just to get someone to take our bags...and several other people were frustrated trying to get a valet's attention as well. The checkout experience wasn't much better...it took over 30 minutes to get the car from valet. The resort does give you an option to park without the valet, but only after you have checked in, so you're kind of stuck relying on the valet service at first. Other than check in and check out processes, the hotel was clean, and the rooms were decent, but I would still not recommend this hotel to others.

Clean hotel, close to Heavenly

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Great stay, but started off slightly annoyed at the immediate sales pitch for a timeshare. Once I turned it down, they no longer pushed. Otherwise, the room was nice and amenities were great!! Everything was clean and staff was helpful.
