Nice cheap hotelPosted Sep 3, 2013
Some great things: - parking is included; - easy access, and a lot of places to eat around the hotel; - tiny fridge and micro-wave oven in the room (we only used the fridge); - pretty cheap. Some not so great things: - water temperature in the shower varies constantly; - I couldn’t get the included WiFi to work; - no remote control for the TV; - no safe in the room; - we weren’t given a spare roll of toilet paper for our stay; - I wouldn’t call what they serve in the morning a “continental breakfast”: they give juice boxes, coffee, and really bad danishes from supermarkets, with tons of preservatives; we just went to the nearby Starbucks instead; - rooms are really dark. Something else I didn’t understand is why we got a room with two full-size beds. Since we were a couple, I would have been happier with one queen-size bed, but this wasn’t a big deal either. So clearly this isn’t a top-notch hotel, but I’m not sure I would change anything about it though: if they were to fix all the things I just complained about, they’d probably be 2 to 3 times more expensive. If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay a couple of days near South Lake Tahoe, and you just care about having a place to sleep and shower, this is a great choice.

Dear Joel Thank you for your review. We are sorry that the room was not quiet to your standards but we are always trying to improve our rooms to accomodate our customers with affordable rates all year round. The breakfast danishes do not have any preservatives and are from Costco. In the future we will continue to improve our breakfast choices as well. Thank you for visiting us in Lake Tahoe and hope to you see you soon. Kelly

dont go there! shop aroundPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Worst experience in decades. My girlfriend slept in her clothes including socks because the carpet and bed were filthy. Poor lights, smoky, no air conditioner, transients and live ins in and out all night long under us.

Dear guest We deeply regret that your experience on our establishment was one of the worst encounter you had in decades. We would have been to accomodate you with a different room. Our goal is to provide our guest with the necessities and at a affordable price when visiting Lake Tahoe. Too good to be truePosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: The owners dog was adorable.
Cons: Just about everything needed to be updated and cleaned better.
Location: Tahoe is beautiful any time of year.
We actually ended up getting another room out of town so we didn't have to stay here. The staff was super nice and they allow pets but the room was very outdated and smelled like smoke (even though it was a non-smoking room). If I was 20 and in Tahoe to party and get wasted, this place would have been fine. I should have known since the rates here were so much less than surrounding hotels.

Don't expect muchPosted Jul 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Dated, Dingy, smelled like smoke. Very very dated room, well used and abused. The room smelt like cigaret smoke. I kept my belongings in my car so that they would not absorb the smell. I slept with my clothes on and on top of the blankets. Showered in the morning and checked out ASAP. Would not suggest staying more than one night here. DO not book here if you are picky in any way, as you will be disappointed. Consider this place a truckers type hotel. Rooms have no A/C, but rather a dingy fan to blow the smell around. The plus sides: Mattress was comfy, and location was great.

Cheap...you get what you pay for!Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: 10 minute walk to casinos and shops.
Cons: Rooms needed to be updated.
Location: A subway and 7-11 were close by. A small store at the end of the street.
No AC in room...it was so hot had to open front door. Windows were small...not much air came into room. They provided a floor fan. Everything in room was old and dated. Bed was hard...very uncomfortable. Breakfast was frozen Danish and some granola bars. Tv was missing a remote...room telephone was disgusting. Didn't even pick it up.

Weekend AdventurePosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This a good place to crash and nothing more. It has all the essentials. The location is pretty convenient. A 2 min walk from a taqueria that stays open Til 2am. :) room was old but clean. There is no ice machine but the workers at the counter will give u a cup or 2 if needed. Great value for the money. I would definitely stay again. Thanks

Softest, most pillow like carpet I have ever walked on. The building is old, but clean and well maintained. Quiet, super friendly front desk.

Cheap Motel, not worth more than $30Posted May 30, 2013
Pros: The price was great, situated centrally and near food, very friendly staff.
Cons: Cleaned properly.
Location: The location was great, 1/2 mile from the casinos on the other side of the state line, 1/2 mile from the Lake Tahoe beach front park. Right on Hwy 50.
I chose to stay in this motel because I was coming off a several day backpacking trip and just wanted a bed, shower and overall cheap stay. I got all these things and if that is all you are looking for than this is the place for you. However the cleanliness left something to be desired, the room smelled like it had been smoked in, there was an actual clump of hair stuck to the wall of the shower, the tiles of the shower appeared mildewy, the bathroom floor was sticky, overall the bathroom was in the worst condition. The bedding smelled and looked past it's prime with burn holes in the sheets and blankets, stains could be seen on the comforter. That being said, the staff was very friendly and despite the grimey feel of the room everything was quite comfortable.
