Most reviews are right on except for the 5 stars and 1 stars. Small rooms and bathrooms but adequate. Comfortable beds and clean. If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star experience this is not for you but if you are looking for a decent nights sleep in a great location with friendly service this works. Price might be a bit high but not a deal breaker.

Cons: See above complaints. Noise, pest issues, update it, less chemicals that are strong smelling.
Location: Great South Lake Tahoe location. Close to Heavenly village, lake, casinos, restaurants.
Great location but hotel needs upgrading. Snack baskets were nice. 2nd night I heard banging going on up til 2 am then started again at 6 am and never stopped. It sounded like people were slamming the mattresses in the walls. Called to report to staff about 6 times and was told that it could be the raccoons that live in the walls due to their pest problem. The room has a strong cleaning product odor to it. They did not refund my rooms or give discount, they only took off 12 resort fee a night and it wasn't a resort. Internet barely worked. Overall...not impressed and would not stay here again.

This is in the perfect location if you want to do anything in South Lake. The staff was really really helpful and great! The room was comfortable but small. the shower looked good but was cramped a bit BUT had god pressure. So they fixed up the place that they had so I don't expect them to tear down walls. So, all in all the price, location,staff and comfort were all a good value. I'll go back if needed.

Friendly staff that gave prompt service, clean room, great location. goodie basket in the room with fruit, muffins, granola type bars, nuts. nothign extravagant, but over all a great room for the price!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was tiny!

"Credit card and picture ID" was the greeting! Room smelt terrible - sewage smell Carpet discussing Hole in connecting room door WiFi never worked - called for assistance, router rebooted, no follow up. Bed hard, hairs on pillow and other marks on sheets Thought about sleeping in car - was so tired so didn't bother.

Overall this hotel was fine, but the photos made the rooms appear large and modern. This was quite the opposite, the beds filled the room, not leaving much walking room and it appeared that the hotel's "heyday" was more in the 60's. Great location to get breakfast at the Driftwood Cafe, in the Holiday Village! It was amazing!

Clean room and clean grounds but a few minor things needed maintenance. Sink in bathroom was hard to turn off - probably need new faucet but it's not like they ignore things because the shower and the beds seemed relatively new. They were doing some remodeling work on their dining area so it was closed, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a basket of fresh baked muffins, fruit, granola bars and water waiting for us in the room - that gesture indicated they know what needs fixing and they care enough to make sure the visitors are happy.
