“Adequate place, good value.”
This hotel was adequate and was about of the quality level advertised (two stars). Nothing fancy but the room was fine. Check in people were nice. Decent bathroom although of the plastic-cup-in-plastic rack, soap-from-dispenser variety. But the lights were bright and the shower was easy to figure out...a step ahead of some super luxury places! Fine for a budget trip for me and my son. Would have been a little down-market for my wife.
“Great Value”
The rooms were very basic, but clean and spacious. The beds were fine and everything worked appropriately. We were there on a relatively warm weather weekend, and the rooms were difficult to cool down. I was very satisfied for the price.
“Would stay there anytime again”
Although we were too late for checkin (11:30pm) the staff found an easy and nice way to get us the room keys. The room was clean and cozy. The neighborhood is very quite at night so we could sleep with windows wide open. Overall a nice place to stay!
“Great Location For Mt. Rushmore”
Location is great. People are friendly. Restaurant was okay. Nothing to write home about. Don't forget to visit Crazy Horse!
“Great location”
I loved the fact that you felt like you had your own little cabin in the woods while in the comfort of the hotel room. I would have liked an nightstand in the bedroom and a towel bar in the sink area. These were minor issues, overall it was a great place to stay and I will be going back again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
“Convinient”
Chose this hotel based on price and location. We got our monies worth. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast worked great for us, but you should be there when it opens on a busy day or your options may be limited. Bed was comfortable, room was quite. Could have been a little cleaner.
“Parkside Inn--best value for Diamond Peak Skiing”
We stayed here for a couple nights in the two double-bed room. The room is older but clean and well-maintained, and has a divider between bed which is kind of nice so kids can sleep while I work. The memory form bed is a plus. We enjoyed the indoor pool-spa-sauna after ski, and the Sunday breakfast was nice. I only wish they serve breakfast everyday instead of weekend only during "low' season --after all, winter should be "high" season and especially it's only 5 min or 1.5 mile from Diamond Peak!!
“Will not go back in the off-season.”
Was excited to finally get to go to Lake Tahoe. Thought this would be a good place as the Hyatt was so expensive, but although they upgraded us, our room was really cold, probably hadn't been heated for quite some time, so beds were cold too and took hours to heat up. Bathroom never did warm up, very cold floors had to put towels on bathroom floor. Do not go in off-season (early April) as nothing to do except watch TV, and the Internet connection did not work.. Staff did quickly respond to requests but were unable to help with wireless problem. Would have preferred walking distance to the Lake and closer to some restaurants. So, overall disappointed after driving for 7 hours to get there and having to leave in the morning. Fortunately the weather was sunny so got some great photos at sunset and again in the morning.
“Decent Place, thin walls.”
Our location was great... the walls thin, breakfast was ok. The only thing I didn't care for was the check in person said I couldn't park my equipment trailer cause they were full the next night. He wasn't very accommodating. But I found a spot. Most everything was good. Just outside our window we heard little kids stomping back and forth as we tried to sleep in.
“Great value in a great locatoin!”
My husband and I stayed here as an alternative to the condos we have rented in Incline Village now that our nest is empty. We had a premium room with a balcony looking onto the woods that were covered with snow. It was so convenient to Diamond Peak and really nice to come back to a jacuzzi, have a continental breakfast in the morning I didn't have to cook and very pleased with the family owned feeling we got from the staff. Beds are as comfortable as they get ! We took advantage of some great nearby restaurants and plan to return often.
