Nice accommodations for the price

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Great view and location to the lake
Very pleased for what we paid. Nothing fancy, but a very nice place for what you pay. Right across from the beach and a close walk to restaurants and other amenities. Great view of the lake from our 3rd story room. Check-in was quick and staff was as friendly and helpful as they come. Highly recommended for the price!!

Possible Mites (scabies)

Posted May 24, 2015
The day after our stay bites appeared and got steadily worse until diagnosed and treated as mites (scabies). Although we can not be sure if indeed these were picked up at the PlumTree we highly suspect it to be the case!

Hi- We are sorry for your having this problem however, our rooms are regularly inspected for "pests' and we assure you the problem did not emanate from the Pepper Tree Inn.

Nice hotel near the community hub

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: the staff, proximity to activities, clean room
We stayed 2 nights and had a very pleasant experience. We were close enough to everything to walk to any destination. There were walking trails with entrances close to us. There were many choices for eating and site-seeing. The person at the front desk was very helpful for eating suggestions and a massage. If we return to Tahoe City, Pepper Tree Inn is a great choice for the price. Everything was clean and every staff member we encountered was very friendly.

Average hotel, reasonably priced

Posted Apr 30, 2015
The toilet was terrible and clogged up. The bed was hard. We could hear the people in the room next to us at night, they seemed to be knocking the walls and talking loudly which was annoying when you are trying to fall asleep. The air on air conditioner thermostat was stuck on heat so we boiled at night even though we had it set to cold. Breakfast was ok and there was good parking. Safeway was a short walk away.

nice and comfortable good location

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: clean and comfortable and good location.
Cons: lots of nice upgrades throughout but the shower was a little small.
What a nice hotel! The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are on the small size, but was comfortable and clean. the complimentary breakfast was an added bonus, with plenty of items to choose from. The hotel is just a short walk to great food, shopping, and the lake.

Older building pretty basic

Posted Feb 19, 2015 on Hotels
There is a new tower and an older 2-story building. We were in the older building from which one could just make out the lake between buildings across the street. The room was what I'd call basic motel, small but clean. The breakfast room is also small with the usual self serve cereals, bread products, DIY waffles, etc. Location is good. Decent motel if you get a good price.

Very nice lake-view hotel

Cozy hotel, the tallest building in the city, so you will not miss it, even if your GPS did. Rooms are pretty small but super clean and it smells nice!
