“best bang for the buck”

the hotel and staff were awsome. the rooms were very clean and nicely outfitted. even had underground parking wick was nice in the snow. highly recommend to any one. the hotel was cheap but the service was top notch.

“Ridge Cascade was lovely”

We were originally booked at the Ridge Point. So we made our way there only to find that there is no lobby or hotel desk to check in. We found a house phone where we contacted the front desk, and we were given directions to the check in desk. We had to drive there but eventually arrived at the centrally located check in lobby. The Ridge Resort has many buildings. Turns out that the entire Ridge Resort is a timeshare property, so the experience was a little different from usual hotels. I guess Ridge Point was over booked so we were moved to Ridge Cascade. Very nice, our room had a decent view of the snow capped mountains. What was really nice was the fact that we were walking distance to the Stage Coach Lodge and the Stage Coach ski lift at Heavenly. Skiing/Snowboarding was our main purpose for our Tahoe visit. The rooms were clean and the staff was ridiculously freindly. The motiff was simple yet classy. No matter what time we left our room, we'd always come back to find that it had been made up already. The only problem we ran into was at the check out, their billing system didn't show that we had already pre-paid through expedia. But that issue was cleared up fairly easily.

“Ridge Pointe Tahoe”

Best upgrade to one bedroom from VIP program. Elevator is outdated and slow but rooms are clean and cozy with scenic view to Stagecoach slope.

“winter vacation with a few extra costs”

The check in process is to use a phone outside front door. The operator gave us a code for a locker and we picked up our key card. Fast and easy. We got snowed in and wanted to stay an extra night or 2, but were told we had to call Expedia. Which was a hassle since there was No cell coverage unless you have ATT. And you have to get a wireless prepaid phone card from operator. Which was already used up from our stay. It wouldve been easy just to call front desk. So, we bought chains to get out of parking lot $107 inclding installation. We needed them for 3 miles and the road.was clear. Take 4 wheel drive car, worth an extra $15/ day rental.

“Good weekend vacation at this hotel”

Mr friend and I booked on Expedia after a long search for a cost effective accommodation. Our experience exceeded our expectations. My friend got a room with a lakeview and was a luxury apartment whereas mine was a compact one. I wish I got a similar accomodation. But both rooms were in excellent condition. They also have a shuttle to their "main" office. Note that this is a time share managed by a company along with 6 other properties. You need to go to their Marketplace at "main" office for free coffee and snacks. I recommend this hotel very strongly.

“Good value”

Getting around the resort was as simple as placing a phone call. Conveniently located near the Stagecoach lift. Accommodations and garage parking were well thought out.

“Out of the way”

This hotel was a challenge to check into. We had to go to several locations before someone could help us. Once in the room was great although the overall location is rather isolated even though they do provide a shuttle service.

“Will definitely go here again”

It took awhile to figure out how best to use the services, but once we did everything was easy. Excellent bus service to the casinos and to the clubhouse and the clubhouse had great amenities for teens. Restaurant food at the clubhouse was very good and reasonably priced. Staff at the lodge and everywhere else (bus drivers, ski lifts, downtown Stateline) were very friendly and helpful, which made for a very relaxed vacation. We were impressed by the ease of going to the ski areas without driving--very well thought out. Next year, we will know where everything is and how to get there, which will give us even more time for fun. Buy your ski hats, gloves, etc. before you go...prices are very high at the stores in the area!

“Great Location!”

Great location, around the corner from the Nevada side of Heavenly. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing. Downside was that check out was 10am.
