Nice price for the quality

We stayed in a King Bed room. This was a pleasant surprise because when we booked online only rooms with 2 queens were available. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that even though our room was on the second floor there was an elevator (my husband is handicapped). The room was an average size as far as hotels go, plus we had a covered balcony with chairs & Small table, that was nice to find. The TV was a nice size, we had a fridge, free WiFi, free parking, bed was comfy for a hotel bed, and decor/bedding/carpet were not too cheap. The bath towels were scratchy though, but in the grand scheme of things who cares. We also liked the location. It is a few blocks from the main road which makes it quieter. We stayed at a place right on the main road last time and we could hear every car that went thru Tahoe.... it was an awful night. I was glad to have a peaceful sleep at The Roadway. The hotel is about a 8min walk to the Casinos or Beach. The continental breakfast was decent too. They had waffles, eggs, bagels w/ cream cheese, toast, donuts, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. And a large eating area or a nice outdoor seating patio area w/ a BBQ for all to enjoy. All in all I would say it's a great price for what you get. When we go on vacation we just find a decent place to sleep because we don't spend much time there. So it's nice to have found a good place like this that's affordable and not a dump.

Pros: Good location, clean, no issues
Cons: Fresher ingredients for breakfast. Some cosmetic problems in the room should be fixed: faucet cover plate in the shower, toweled tank ceramic cover
Overall the hotel and the room were good. Breakfast was not that good. I think it was a little over priced at 89 for Saturday.

Paid good money $$$, bare minimum facilities, wife stopped toilet that was running when we entered. Sink faucet plumbed backwards, stale aroma thru out. Staff was nice, hot breakfast was good and plenty. I'll look elsewhere next time...

Great location if you want to be @ the lake!

Location: 2 blocks to the lake, nice short walk. We rented kayaks & ate @ the beach restaurant.
Good quickie breakfast, staff knowledgeable about the area, clean room & bathroom!

Proximity to the Beach is a big positive.

Pros: The staff at the reception and otherwise very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Please do not allow guests to smoke on the room patios. The other guests are affected by the smoke blowing into the adjoining rooms.
Do not use the community kitchen to store any personal food items. Someone ate our entire pizza and left the empty box in the refrigerator!

Great place to stay

Pros: Friendly Staff, Laudry Facilities and free beach access
Next time I go to lake tahoe for sure I will be on this hotel. The staff where really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast has good and we could seat outside to eat. Has a laundry where we could easly wash our stuff. The beach was near, we could walk there and had free access for Rodeway Inn guests.

A good place to stay for the price

Pros: A good place to stay for the price. Staff was helpful, room was clean. Parking, WiFi and breakfast were included in the price.
The staff was helpful and the beach was very nice to just relax and take in the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Was able to walk to the casinos and not worry about having a few drinks.

Highest room price for worst hotel experience, but was on labor day weekend and got hear Eagle concert

Great location, affordable price

I wanted to book a last minute weekend in Tahoe with my girlfriend and the Rodeway Inn more than did the trick. The hotel isn't anything fancy, but the location is great--near the beach, casinos, and state parks. Room met cleanliness standards and offered passes to the beach. You could do a lot worse to be walking distance from beaches, hiking, and casinos/nicer restaurants.

Bathroom wasn't clean

Room wasn't clean. I booked a non-smoking room and the room smelled terrible. Bathroom had hairs al over and used soap. Over all had terribel experiance.
