beautiful view of the lakePosted Sep 11, 2014
Our clean, comfortable room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was great and allowed us a late check out at noon. The only thing I would recommend is doing some updating as the property shows it's age.

Private Beach Setting!Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Needs a bit of updating, but great South shore location and beachfront access was fantastic.
Cons: Facilities need a bit of updating (e.g. bathrooms are very small).
Location: Restaurants are walkable, CVS right behind hotel, Safeway across street, great Mexican restaurant nearby with AMAZING homemade fruit EMPANADAS!
OMG! Own personal beach! We took kayaks out right in front of our room, gorgeous views, friendly staff, quiet pool, WOW. A mix between Pismo Beach and Kauai as far as water activities, water clarity, and the many activities that one can do. We will definitely return!

The beach is right out your doorPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach. WIFI. Cable. Clean. Friendly staff.
Cons: The smell in our condo was a little disturbing. Maybe from the exterminator?
Location: Everything is near by, Casinos, Heavenly, beach, boat tours, hot air balloon rides, parasailing and so many restaurants.
We got there a bit early but we were still able to check in. That was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our condo was very clean but could use a little updating. The only thing about this condo that I didn't like was a funky smell, like maybe they recently sprayed for bugs? I loved everything else about this condo. They supplied us with clean towels, coffee, soap & shampoo. It had a nice pool, a nice hot tub and the beach right outside of our sliding door. We met people from all over the world sitting by the pool. We would go back again if we were in the area.

Avoid this onePosted Aug 18, 2014
I know staying right on the lake bumps the price up, but for what I had to pay this place is a dump. Old, old carpet stained and smelly and furnishings old and tacky. For the money definitely not worth it. Only plus is location right on beach.

Jazz on the beach in TahoePosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The warm welcome and great facilities
Cons: Difficult to say, maybe wifi could be better
Location: Right on the lake, there's loads to do or just laze around on the beach.
Just one night in this fabulous inn. From the approach it looks a bit grim but once you're in you realise just how nice it is. The staff gave us a warm welcome and quickly made us feel at home. That night the hotel put on a live jazz band on the beach which was a lovely way to finish off the day. The pool was nice, the beach was spotless and the lake was clear. I just wished we'd stayed another night.

Good enough to do againPosted Aug 5, 2014
Location: There are a variety of casual dining restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. Boat and water sports rentals and casinos are also nearby.
The location of this hotel to the lake was better than most and the sunsets were beautiful. Shopping, dining and gambling are all less than a 5 minute drive. The facility was in overall good condition. It doesn't have air conditioning so the room would get warm during the day, but with the sliding door open and a fan in the opening, it cooled off well at night. It was quiet and the staff was very helpful. I'd consider staying here again.

Beach hotelPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The view from the room
Location: Water sports of all varieties, paddle boat cruise and general boat hire.
Lovely situation right on beach. Comfortable bed so good night's sleep. Wonderful to open the curtains and see the lake. Enjoyed the filter coffee provided in room. Disappointing no restaurant so had to go out for meals. Ideal for what we wanted in a busy area but around he hotel is was often quiet. Outdoor pool appreciated.

A great family holiday locationPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Location, comfortable
Location: Right by the lake, so swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding etc. Many great short hikes in the Tahoe area.
The Lakeshore is neither modern nor luxurious, but it is perfectly adequate and in a great location. Our family of 3 loved being right on the lakeshore, just a few yards down the beach from the paddleboard and kayak rentals. It is an easy walk to Safeway and CVS. We really enjoyed our time at Tahoe, and would happily stay at the Lakeshore again.
