Nice condo, but Too loud, don't expect to sleepPosted Dec 21, 2014
Condo is well appointed, but a bit cramped. Deck is a plus. The biggest promblem is the constant noise from the village below. Since the village is like a canyon, every voice reverberates into the condos, and the snow removal equipment roaring from 2 am to 7 am was intolerable, did not get any sleep, will never stay here again.

Village at SquawPosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and convienent...great eateries and shops, remote and when everything is open, there is a lot to do.
Cons: Keeping things to do open at least on weekends, maybe adding a movie theater someowhere near.
We went at a great time of year in that it's not too crowded, however it was kind of a bummer that the tram and some of the things to do weren't available even on the weekend. We did have a issue with no hot water, when we made the call initially, she said they'd send out a maitenence person, when we followed up after a half hour, she said they were working on it but that we'd need to run the water for a few minutes, when we let her know it had run for over 15 minutes with nothing happening, she said to just keep it running...which seemed like a poor answer given we're in a drought. They did get it fixed, however didn't follow up, we just tried again after another half hour and it was hot right away. Otherwise, it is a gorgeous area and great facility:)

The room was clean and fit the description. Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was very warm for an unknown reason, no adjustments to the t stat made a difference, so the windows had to remain open. There was some noise from surrounding units that became a problem as well.

Wonderful hotel and area - Dead time of year.Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Heated bathroom floor, location, security.
Cons: In room amenities (no fridge or mini bar), put the humidifier out so people can find it! :)
Location: Located in a great little village with shops and restaurants, and next to a few other hotels. But everything is closed in November!
We had a fantastic stay at the Village. The rooms were nice and clean, and the bathroom had a heated floor. AMAZING feature. We unfortunately went at a weird time of the year (right before the entire place shuts down for a month), so there wasn't much in way of dining and shops open. But the PlumpJack Inn across the street has a phenomenal restaurant, and the hotel was very nice. It is incredibly dry up in that cold mountain air, and the whole visit we were wishing the hotel would have supplied a humidifier in the room. We found it way back in the closet on the day we checked out. So dig around and look for it! :)

WonderfulPosted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Have coffee in the lobby
Location: The location is breathtaking. The village simple and sweet. Loved everything about it. Starbucks, Irish Pub in the village. What else do you want?
Staff was VERY helpful. Front desk always available.

Nice place, bad timingPosted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Kitchen was well equipped and room was comfortable.
Cons: Inform guests of resort maintenance closers and give option to reschelude vacation if air quality is poor due to fire prior to guests arriving.
Location: Good hiking and bike paths into town.
Would have liked to know that most things close late September and doesn't reopen until first snowfall. The King fire also made the vacation difficult as by noon air quality was poor and had to stay indoors.

Less than expectedPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Responsive service.
Cons: Starting with the elevator, quite a few areas need a fresh coat of paint. The bathtub could use an anti slippery mat. Two nightstands in every room.
Location: Nice nature trail around the lake in Tahoe City.
Misleading advertising. When I booked a room online I expected to pay $139.00 per night as advertised under the "Total" headline. Upon my arrival at the resort, I was shocked to discover that I had to pay an additional $23.00 per night for "Lodging Resort Charge" and other minor fees. Later, upon looking more carefully at the website, I discovered the "Resort Fee" printed in small characters. As I said, I call this misleading advertising. Good location but disappointing shopping and dining opportunities within the resort.

Great ResortPosted Sep 5, 2014
Cons: We should not have to pay an additional $39.00 to access the pool area, when other resorts include this amenity. A more reasonable fee would be best.
Location: Bike trails, hiking trails, shopping, dinning, scenic views, swimming, etc.
Great rooms, clean, many comforts you would expect from your own home. We traveled with our three children, they enjoyed the many activities. I strongly recommend.

Great place!Posted Sep 3, 2014
I got a room expecting it to be a regular hotel room. I got there and was surprised to find that it was a condo. The room was very clean and the area is amazing. I would stay there again in a heartbeat
