“It's worth what you pay”
We felt that this room was clean and maintained quite well even though it seems to be quite old. No modern conveniences like microwave, refrig., or even a coffee pot. But the price was very low, so you get what you pay for. The bed was OK, the walls are very thin so we heard a lot of noise from drunken casino goers. We found the staff at the desk to be very nice and met our needs. We would return, if we felt we needed to pinch our pennies.
“Good for the Price”
Older Hotel but the staff was very nice the room was decent needed little fix ups but nothing that made the stay uncomfortable. I would stay again..
“The location is the only positive”
Got one of the worst rooms in the property-- right on the road. Checked in right on time, and was told they were full and no other rooms were available. No hairdryer, odd layout, airplane-sized pillows, extremely worn linens. Coffee in the lobby was a 12-cup pot, for the entire complex. It appears to have a relationship to the Days Inn next door, but that is like a Hilton in comparison. Would never return here to save the $20 difference.
“Travel Inn”
Not so bad all in all, but the sauna announced at the Expedia page was absolutely MISSING.
“Good Location, Good Price”
Location was great! Only 5 minutes away from Lake Tahoe Community College and lots of eating places and grocery stores nearby. The hotel is in a decent neighborhood and it was nice to be able to park my car right in front of my room. Once you walk in, it has a cheap disinfectant kind of smell so it was great that the windows opened to get some of that smell out. Beds were comfortable, however, my blanket had holes in it and was very old. The shower stall was the worst part of the stay. Tiles were old and had mold, shower head was very low so you have to bend your head underneath to wash your hair, drain was very clogged so water filled up to your ankle or so even on a quick shower, which made the tile floor slimy and gross. Even though, I took a shower, I still felt dirty when I got out. We let the front desk know and even though they said they would fix it, it never got fixed. We stayed 5 days and one of the days, they didn't empty two of our garbage that were full. Not sure if sheets were really changed because it looked like, they just remade the bed using the same sheets. Even though it advertises complimentary coffee, you would have to ask them to make a pot and the coffee was very weak. I would not recommend using the jazuzzi, it was slimy and didn't seem like they put in enough chlorine to kill bacteria. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay then its good enuff.
“Affordable, Dated, Bring your own toiletries”
Older dated hotel. The walls thin so prepare to hear conversations in the next room. I had no towels, and when I asked for towels the front desk staff went to multiple vacant rooms until they finally found some. They handed me two towels only. Shower curtain had a good amount of mold, fan left in the room did not work, room smelled heavily of pet urine, fabric on desk chair was ripped. My room did not have a microwave or fridge. Pool was not very clean, jacuzzi is perhaps the cheapest and smallest portable one I have ever seen at a hotel. The owners were kind to me, but clearly they are in over their head with this property. The carpets are dirty and stained. On the positive, the internet is great--something rare in Tahoe. You get what you pay for, so if you only need a place to sleep then bring your own towels and toiletries and house shoes. The hotel is so rustic you might as well stay in a tent at a campground.
“Will be back again!”
This travel inn was perfect for its value. The customer service was excellent and very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again.
“Travel'n”
Hotel was perfect for price point. Clean, and had all amenities promised. Will stay again when looking for inexpensive lodging. Also, Brewery is right next door, major bonus for well priced meal and beer after a day on the slopes.
“As horrible as a place can BE”
It was extremely horribly. The floor was wet and the room heater was not working. We were freezing to death in that room.
“Hostile owner”
The owner was extremely hostile. I had called in the day before to check if my reservation had gone through. We arrived post 11 pm and called the number that was posted outside the closed office. The owner (who was asleep inside) came out and started saying why couldn't I call back if I was going to be late. We had already had a long drive and were absolutely not happy with the way we were treated. The room and amenities aside, we will definitely not go back to this hotel again due to the insulting treatment.
