This is a wonderful hotel and you can't beat the price. It's a beautiful property set atop a hill. Rooms are well appointed with lovely views, especially if you can get a room on the top floors. Has a very elegant feel to it. The approach to the hotel is nothing special, but once you start up the driveway, you've entered a private sanctuary. If you're looking to get out of Milan and/or need a place to stay near the Milanese airport, this is the place for you! The town of Varese offers some great shopping.

If touring the lakes region then this hotel is worth a visit. It's in a great location on top of a hill, but the main town is some distance away. The staff were all very pleasant, and the breakfast is very good.

Our stay at the Palace Grand Hotel, Varese was wonderful! Arianna, (hotel front desk) was very professional and accomodating of our travel schedule and helpful with specific instructions on how to find our way from Florence via the train system in Italy. The grounds are beautiful and our dinner was excellent! Even though our stay was short, the memories will last a lifetime!

“Stunning and classy”

Would love to go back, especially considering the deal that we had with Expedia. Perfect venue for a wedding or a special family occasion. The views from our room was magnificant. We overlooked Lake Varese and the snow caps alps in the distance. It was a very peaceful stay with the ambiance and facilities completely in tune with the type of break that I wanted, which was a relaxing one. There was no aspect of the hotel that I was not 100% satisfied with. The bar staff was particlarly friendly and inviting. 10/10. Thank you Expedia

“Very Pleasant Experience”

We recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful. We were very pleased with our room and the dining experience. Staff could not have been more accomodating. We would definitely come back to this hotel. It would be a great place to stay and explore the Lake Como and Lake Maggiore regions. It is also very close to the Malpensa Airport in Milan.

For the money this was a real winner!!! We got upgraded on arrival to a very large room with a balcony and a huge bathroom for any country's standards. They need to put some money in renovating the Hotel and it could be a legitimate 5 star property. I would stay here again for sure! Thanks to the great staff!

“Grandeur of the Past”

A good hotel, clean and very friendly staff. Take advantage of the special evenings they do outside in the garden area very good value for money - buy a cocktail and get free food. Very tasty food too. Excellent place to stay to visit Lake Majiorri and Como. Car essentail.

“4 Stars with Lots of Space”

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast and large rooms. We had two triple rooms, and they were very large, even by US standards. The common areas were very nice and everyone (we have a few picky eaters) found something they liked on the breakfast buffet. Beds were firm but comfortable, parking was easy. I would definitely recommend the hotel. Great place to get over jet-lag.

“Great views--wonderful food”

This hotel is gorgeous & impressive. Our room was huge & had an incredible view. My daughter & I loved the big marble bathroom...the largest we saw in Italy. The hotel is undergoing some grounds renovations. The staff sent a van to pick us up from the train station. The Expedia website lists a free airport shuttle & this was part of the reason we booked the hotel to be close to the airport. This is not true & we had to pay a ridiculous fee to get to Malpensa.
