Ski Tip Lodge

Posted Jan 12, 2014
Arrived at main reception at 9am. Staff super friendly. Check in was not until 4pm. But they took our cell number and called us at noon to let us know our room was ready. Since we were skiing, they had the keys sent to guest services for easy pick up. Sweet! We got put in a studio room in Ski Tip Lodge. It looked directly at the ski runs and chair lift. Room was small but well laid out for a family of four (kids 9 and 12 years). It did get kind of loud with snow blowers and snow mobiles starting around 6am. Underground parking available but height restriction is 6'6. So it may be tight for an SUV with a ski box. Guest services is in this building which is convenient for lift ticket pick up. And the main restaurant/cafeteria is housed in this building which sometimes hosts movies in the evenings. There is also a great shop located in this building with an abundance of really nice ski wear. There is no pool facility at Ski Tip Lodge but there is free hot pools access available at Panorama Springs Lodge with access to locker/shower/change room facilities and they also provided towels there. It was a bit pricey but worth it for a true ski in ski out stay.

Christmas at Panarama!

Posted Dec 31, 2013
Pros: It was nicely decorated, spacious, and we'll maintained.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that would have made our stay any better!
Location: The ski hill was great and was a short drive into town.
We had a great holiday at Panorama! The upper village condo was an easy walk to the chair lift and was clean, comfortable, spacious and very nice. The resort staff were helpful and the resort had all amenities close by. We look forward to returning!

I asked for a hotel in RADIUM this is what I got

Posted Oct 16, 2013
I had my girlfriends grandma with me! She is an elderly person, when we got to the room it was cold I tried turning up the heat and it didn't work! Tried turning the fireplace on same thing didn't work! When I went to check out I mentioned all this, and she asks me why didn't you call us? I said because I shouldn't have to! If you are renting out something you go check it out make sure all is working then give the person a key! Never again will I go here

Nice, relaxing atmosphere with great views

Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: We especially enjoyed the scenery, the unit and the Saffire Bead and Flame works.
We booked out stay for over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was very quiet, without a lot of amenities open, but we expected as much. The one thing I would like to see improved would be the signage on the hiking trails, as ours petered out before we reached our destination and we couldn't pick it up again. We were so close but didn't realize it until we got back and looked at the map. Beautiful views and friendly staff. The room itself was well equipped and mostly tidy.

Not bad

The village is only meant for lodging that's it. I do not consider this as a hotel at all. WiFi should be included though with free of charge. No air conditioner so summer time lodging can be unpleasant. Not enough signs to the guest parkade.

Panorama Resort, Late August

Posted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Amenities - pool, tennis, mini-golf, etc.
Cons: Front desk could be friendlier, could have advised advance booking of certain activities (trail rides) which I asked about upon check-in.
The hotel was immaculately clean, especially our room. We stayed from Sun-Tues so a lot of people had left on the Sunday, the hotel was deserted. Very relaxing, all facilities in good condition - we used pool, tennis and mini-golf. Would have appreciated being told to advance book for trail rides as they were full the day we wanted to go. Front desk staff could have been more friendly but overall did their job.

Family Friendly

Posted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: Pool facilities
Cons: central check-in
Location: Beautiful, serene location
The hotel is very much tailored to families with kids. Lots of activities. Can register for daycamps, their is mountain biking, swimming, hiking, rafting, archery and golf. Pool facilities are outstanding. Units have kitchens which saves money and allows for healthy eating but if you feel like eating out there are a number of restaurants to make it easy!
