Hotel close to LEGOLAND.Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: The Staff is very competent. Quick Check-in, quick Check-Out.
Cons: Easier access to the Internet is needed.
Location: We were able to use this hotel to stay in preparation for a JROTC Competition at Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation in Lake Wales.
This an incredible hotel for the money. Hotel has a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. The Staff is excellent and very helpful and willing to accommodate your special needs. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend for families planning to attend LEGOLAND.

Nice place to stay.Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Clean room, comfortable, fast internet, friendly staff.
Cons: More breakfast variety. Waffles?
Location: Convenient to Orlando attractions (< 1 hour) without paying the resort town rates.
Booked online the same day we checked in, after leaving another hotel we had booked a month before. This was a great value, less than the other hotel which was horrible. Wish we had booked here first! Will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town.

Plumbing problemsPosted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Nothing, the hotel was old and the hallway lighting was dim. It gave the impression of being inside a sleazy environment.
Cons: The complete hotel needs to be updated and better maintained.
Location: Near downtown and Legoland.
Both rooms were clean but the first room we got had plumbing problems with the toilet. Within 30 minutes of getting to our room we noticed the toilet was not working properly. We notified the front desk and they sent someone to our room. Before they left we told them that we that it was still not working properly and they insisted all was fine. They never offered to change us to another room. That same night the toilet got clogged again. We notified them early the next day and they said they would send someone again. When I requested to have the room changed they continued to tell me that they would send someone to our room. It was not until I got angry and requested that I either get another room or a refund for the remainder of my stay that they then decided to give me another room. The hotel was not completely booked. More than half of the parking lot was empty. It was a very disappointing experience.

Hotel close to eating placesPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: The lobby and breakfast areas were bright. Nice staff.
Cons: The decor in the rest of the hotel could use updating to brighter colors. Better lighting in the hallways.
Location: There are several dining places within walking distance. A few clubs were within walking distance also.
The lobby/breakfast areas were bright and welcoming. The rest of the hotel was outdated in color schemes. The hallways were dark even though there were lights along the walls. Breakfast was simple...2 cereals, oatmeal packets, bread for toasting, bagels, english muffins, different flavored doughnuts, bananas, one milk, 2 juices, and coffee. The person that checked us in also checked us out...was a pleasant experience. There are 2 levels to the hotel, but did not find an elevator.

Needs UpdatingPosted Oct 23, 2014
This hotel is just plain in need of some serious updates. Our room smelled dank; at first I thought it smelled like smoke when I walked in, but I think it was more just a general stale smell. The room appeared clean, but the stale smell seemed to permeate everything, including the pillows. The walls were orange and there was a hole in the closet area. The artwork on the walls was faded 80's era flamingos and such. There was a patio door with a broken handle that could not be opened. The bathroom was somewhat updated, which was nice. The breakfast was minimal -- packets of oatmeal, a couple of kinds of cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt. Thankfully, we were only there for one night, so it was tolerable. I think they could invest in some renovations and do well with Legoland nearby.
