Not a BAD hotel but the website is a little misleading. Due to the condition of the hotel, the rates were over-charged. Based on the hotel/facilities, I would rate this as a $100/night rate but nothing more. The staff was very pleasant and made up for the structural short-comings.

Adequate hotel in need of renovations

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Closeness to Legoland, good complimentary breakfast, large swimming pool.
Cons: Rooms could be cleaner, and overall the place could be upgraded. The elevator in the back of the hotel was problematic and didn't always work well.
Location: Close to Legoland but it'd be a hike for small children. There are more restaurants and a starbucks a few miles away on Cypress Gardens Blvd.
This is an okay hotel that's showing it's age and in need of upgrades. It's not bad for the price, the rooms were okay, complimentary breakfast was good and the staff was nice. We intended to walk to Legoland since it appeared so close on maps. Be aware that it is at least a mile from the hotel to the Legoland front entrance, not ideal at the end of a long day with 2 tired children. We opted to pay the $17 to park at the Legoland lot. Overall the Magnuson is not the best, not the worst, very average.

Stay somewhere else

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Dirty, filthy, shortage of staff, I called day before to make sure that I should get a rollaway bed and crib for my kids. When I asked at time of checkin she said it should be there and guess what it wasn't there. I called and ask for it she said there is nobody but me here can not help . Room stinks very bad.

Don't stay!

Posted Apr 7, 2015
when we checked in our rooms lights needed changed so we waited for them to come do that. Then the TV only worked the first night and said the maintenance could come in and fix it but we didn't want anyone in our room when we're not there I was gonna sit on my vacation in my room and wait for them to get to us! Pool was freezing and the whirlpool looked so dirty that it seemed no one cleaned it in months! Horrible experience! Then they said they were gonna refund me some of my stay and actually took it out again!!

It was a dog friendly hotel, our room Smelled like dog PeePee, bugs in bathroom , and under mattress. We would not stay. Left in 10 minutes. Ask front desk for refund they were nice enough to give us one night back. But said Expedia would need to do that. Gg

Picture of Rooms

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Update the rooms.
The room comparison from pictures on line did not look anything like the room we stayed in.

Hotel looked as if it had been abandoned for years

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: location! Can't think of another good thing
Cons: Everything !!!
Location: Well located, near outside places and services
Our room had no working shower, we complained and were told that the hotel was full - no other rooms available. We were tired, sweaty and had looked forward to a pleasant evening, didn't happen!

Just not happy with the service and the facility need deep cleaning and need some renovations. Sometimes small things can make a big difference!
