“What a nice surprise when we were just thinking of visiting F.Lloyd Wright's buildings !”

From the moment when we arrived in the parking lot thru the warm farewell (by an ex-Canadian) we were enchanted by this beautiful hotel. The hotel dining room was a VERY pleasant experience also as far as the food and the service was concerned. The location is also so extra ! We would go back anytime.

We were there for three days. Everyone was very nice. Our room was lovely. The hotel was clean and beautiful. We hope to stay there again.

“Everything was wonderful”

A large group of friends and family stayed here for the weekend of my wedding which was 09-24-2005, and we all enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful hotel and we felt very safe. All the staff was VERY helpful and very nice. The rooms were nice and all the ammenities really made our stay great. The resturant was ok, but a bit over priced. The parking is valet only, but they are very helpful, and it isn't a burden...trust me, I was going back and forth to the car and coming and going a lot!! The rooms were all VERY clean which is very important to me. Over all we had a wonderful stay and highly recomend this hotel if you are ever traveling to Lakeland, Florda.

“Good Bowl game trip”

Overall, pretty good. However, some of the personnel were kind of snooty because we were dressed casually (we were there for a bowl game in Orlando). My money is as good as anyone else's - no need to be uppity. The room was nice, the place was nice.

“I would go back again.”

The duck soup was delicious. Overall the food was excellent. The staff was friendly. The bed/pillows was very comfortable.

“A Great Place”

A very nice room with great bed. All the bedding and linen were wonderfully fluffy and so comfortable. Loads of down pillows. Staff was great in all areas. The food was unbelieveably delicious. I would definately go back. Broken hot water pipes one morning, but all in all really wasn't a problem.

“Best place for Spring training!”

Lakeland is a small town, but I think that we chose the best place possible for our first outing to Detroit Tiger spring training! The rooms were quaint, the dining room very accomodating with excellent service. We will definitely stay here again!

“Excellent Find in Central Florida”

No being familiar with the Lakeland, FL area, I booked a one night stay because it was the best deal Expedia had to offer at that time. What a find! This finely appointed masterpiece deserves its place on the National Historic Registry. Excellent service coupled with tastefully and well appointed rooms made for a fine nights sleep. Only downside was the train whistle sometime in the am hours, so light sleepers beware. The Terrace Grille also provided a fine room service dining experience. We will stay at The Terrace Hotel when in the Lakeland area in the future.

“The Best Place to Stay for Miles and Miles Around”

Gracious, elegant historic hotel that's completely up to date in every way. You'll feel special and spoiled. Located in the heart of downtown, by the shore of a beautiful lake, with easy access and parking. The town's best restaurant, the Grille, is on premises, and it's a pleasant stroll to everything else. I'd go far out of my way to stay again.

“A traditional hotel with contemporary ammenities”

In simple fact, a traditional hotel setting with todays traveler in mind. High speed internet a big plus for laptop users. Excellent dining facilities at moderate prices. Overall the experience was worth a five star rating. This was my second time here and it was not disappointing. I highly recommend this hotel.
