Nice hotel. Beautiful location.

We've never stayed in downtown Lakeland. I've lived in Florida my whole life and we wanted an adventure. The Terrace Hotel had so much charm and beauty. Free valet parking was fantastic. It was close to some amazing restaurants, one cirlcled around a New Orleans theme, another was a small coffee shop down the road. The lake was so unbelieveably beautiful and quiet at night. Stay in Downtown Lakeland at the Terrace Hotel, you will not regret it!

Nice

Overall the stay was fine. I have to say I got a little annoyed by the cleaning staff. They knock on your door very early. 8:30 for cleaning. We were there visiting the college and had to be there for 9:00 am. I felt even if we were there for biz most people wouldnt be out of their room by 8:30 am. Also on the day of departure they knocked on our door that early TWO times. Most hotels, they know its your day to leave and they leave you alone u til you check out. I felt they were pushy about the cleaning. If i had been sleeping I would have been really annoyed. Other than that the stay was nice. Clean and attractive hotel.

Small rooms

Pros: Locations, building.
Cons: Complementary breakfast.
Location: The building is located in downtown. There are many restaurants around it. Nice place.
The room was small, not many outlets for electronics. It was very clean overall. Very pretty building. Locations is excellent.

Good stay duing Legoland trip.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Fancy look and view. It's nice to walk around. Clean.
Cons: Breakfast menu
First of all, there's really no free breakfast. You get you muffin and your coffee and have to consume it standing in the lobby because they won't let you into the dining area. But you can buy you breakfast. On the other hand I had a good price and service that is hard to find in that area.

Nice, quaint, downtown hotel

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The ambiance
Cons: The carpet in our room needed replacing
Location: Downtown Lakeland, restaurants, parks, not far from Orlando or Tampa
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. It is a very nice hotel in the downtown area. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were great. We will definitely stay again.

Great old hotel.

Very nice facility that would benefit greatly from a little paint and some deep cleaning. We could not have asked for any better from the several staff members we encountered. The beds are perfection, even for a bigger person. Elevators and bathrooms are cozy. There is a beautiful park with a promenade across the street. Good way to walk off a dinner from one of many good restaraunts located in easy walking distance. The nearest coffee shop opens at 11:00. Not to worry, these folks put out a far better than average cup. This is complimentary and accompanied by reaaly good fresh baked pastries. We will be back.

Not too far from Legoland

Historic hotel that could use a bit of repairs. I enjoy the fact that the hotel is an old historical site- however chipped paint, marks on shower floor, chipped closet doors could be repaired and still have the historic stigma. The bed was super comfy but while inspecting the bed I noticed the mattress was stained. The room also had a musty smell. The room was sufficient for a one night stay. Breakfast prices were a little absurd. There was an empty bottle of wine that was left from previous guest.

Lovely place to stay

The Terrance Hotel was an excellent stay for a very reasonable price. Greater service then other chains in the same price range. Had a very pleasant time there. Highly recommend it
