A place to stay if there isn't any other options

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: clean room, helpful staff
Location: Beef O Brady's across the street, had a good dinner there
The staff was polite and helpful and the room was clean. This was a old Knights inn complex, so the floors creak in the bathroom and the entrance door would always stay open on it's own, not too helpful when going in and out while unpacking the car and trying to cool the room down. The air conditioner worked extremely well once the room was cooled down. The room had a old tube style TV but loads of cable channels to watch- pleasant surprise. This a ok place to stay for the rate charged but if you are expecting luxury this isn't the place to find it.

Clean, quiet, old, moldy/water stains.

Clean, quiet, old, moldy/water stains. All in all a decent cheap cleanish place to rest your head for the night.

Acceptable moderately priced property

Posted Jan 20, 2015 on Hotels.com
Good price value. I was participating in a sports event in Frostproof. Several other competitors stayed at Green Gable Inn. I heard it was filthy and their bathrooms were full of mold. For a moderate priced property Vintage Inn was a good choice.

Rooms smelled like urine. Spider webs on the ceiling.

I've been at better & I've been at worse.

It is a little off the beaten path; located between a car lot & a truck repair shop. There is a Beef O'Brady & a McDonald's across the street. The room itself was nice & the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, although there was no shampoo/conditioner. I travel for business & most other motel bathrooms are supplied with these items. They have about 3 dozen rooms available, but for the 2 nights I stayed there, I would estimate that only another 5 or 6 rooms were rented out either night. A free breakfast was advertised. But it consisted of orange juice that was really Tang & the hot water for tea was too cold to make a cup of tea. For the coffee, there was only a powered non-dairy creamer. For food, there were a few boxes of dry cereal or a single variety of bite-sized muffins. If you desired a hot breakfast, there was a loaf of white bread, a toaster & a jar of grape jelly. This is by no means what other motels offer.
