Just a little out of Lakes EntrancePosted Oct 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Kalimna Woods on our way home to Melbourne. Cottages are very comfortable and well equipped. Spa Bath was great to unwind from a hard day of driving. We also enjoyed sitting watching a bit of TV after lighting the fire, very romantic. While it is not in the centre of Lakes Entrance the walk down to the jetty and then along the path leading through to the centre of Lakes Entrance is very pleasant and not at all demanding. Walking back fater dinner in town we were subjected to a magnificent sunset before getting back to our cottage just on dark.

Not quite in Lakes Entrance itself. you would need a car. However would be a great place for a peaceful holiday. Several cottages set amongst trees to give privacy. None of the bustle of Lakes but within 5 minutes drive when these are required.

Secluded location yet close to the main street.Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Very clean
Great location, five to ten minute drive from the main street. We thought it was good value and friendly helpful staff. We would definately go back again. But hopefully that 6am Kookaburra will have found a girlfriend by then and stop attacking his reflection in the window.

Lovely stay at Kalimna Wood Cottage once againPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was my 2nd time staying at Kalimna Wood Cottage. Once again, I am impressed with the comfort of the rustic, yet functional, premises. It is lovely to have beds with electric blankets, the romanticism of the wood stove to keep the cottage cosy and toasty. Our host, Arthur, was delightfully hospitable. Point to note, get to the cottage during the daylight. The darkness of the surrounds can be quite daunting for the uninitiated city folk.

Come for the open fire, stay for the possumsPosted Jun 3, 2013
Lovely hosts, great facilities and a high level of privacy. The cottages are a real hidden gem - hard to argue against the quality and expereince at such a reasonabel price. As a further tip, check out the Greek restauarant just accross the creek. Food great, service average and it makes for an amusing dining expereince. Will definately be back to Kalimana Cottages.

What a lovely placePosted Jun 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The cabins are clean and comfortable, and in a bushland setting. The owners feed the possums and other creatures of the night every evening, and in the morning they the kings parrots and bronze-wing pigeons come for a feed. Cabins are clean and comfortable. Lighting the wood heater gave the husband something interesting to do! The water is a short walk away, as is a Greek restaurant with views of the lakes. .Staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was a great break for us. And off-season rates were excellent.
